Well I always say the good lord made me for this I have a big heart my residents always called me smiley which I try to always keep know matter how I may feel .I love the elderly there stories just putting a smile on there face ..Well the girls woukd cone get me if they couldn't understand someone because I could just knowing I helped someone and made there day better was always a good day for me .

Hi Im Nikkitta Reed, but you can call me Nikki. I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years experience working with eldery, disabbled, and mentally challeneged individuals. Providing personalized care for someone who needs help is very important to me!

I am a very patient and understanding person. I take time to get to know the resident or patient. I try to understand their condition and needs on a personal level, in order to find the best approach. I am a very strong and hard working individual that has a very strong love for the nursing field. I enjoy it when I gain the respect and love of the resident/Patient. I'm am proud to say that my greatest achievements is that I have always been able to maintain a positive relationship with all of my residents . As a Nurse aide I provide direct patient care in nursing homes and in other settings such as hospital long-term care wards, community rehabilitation or private home settings. Duties can include taking vital signs, assisting residents to move about the home or facility, helping them manage their meals and use bathroom facilities, transferring, turning, lifting or positioning bedridden patients, offering emotional support, rehabilitative exercises, bathing, grooming, feeding, and all other aspects of care as allowed by state laws and regulations.

I've been a nurse for 24 years. My experiences range from the OR, Sub Acute Rehab, and post-op Ortho/Neuro/Stroke nursing to LTC, Hospice and Home Care. I believe the qualities that make me an excellent nurse and caregiver are compassion, empathy, humor, experience, and creativity. My maternal grandmother was an RN in a small town in Maine. I spent my summers growing up with her and my grandfather, a barber, learning what they knew of life in the Maine woods. What an amazing way to grow up! I know that for every person I care for, every life story I hear, every family I comfort...I become a better version of the person, the nurse, the daughter, the friend and the mother I am meant to be. To be a nurse and caregiver was woven into my soul before I was born. It's who I am.

I became a caregiver to help make a difference in the world knowing I can dedicate my help to someone who needs it was the most wonderful feeling and I love doing just that. I am most proud to say I do have 8 years in experience and I took after my mom and grandmother even my great grandmother in this profession or should I say lifestyle. I am a family person married my husband since I was 17 and now we have to wonderful talented boys and I promise I will treat your love one just like I would my family member with the best respect and care he or she deserves.

I am registered NUrse in the Philippines with various clinical experiences from hospital to commmunity practice.
