I'm very loving, compassion love to help elderly people since I was young.I promise my grandma that I will take care of her and everyone else that gets older I'm my family.And till this day I help everyone I can with joy.

I chose to become a caregiver because I needed a job and I watched my mom do for 18yrs so thats part of the reason I became a caregiver. I've been a caregiver for 7yrs, the most rewarding part about this job is the relationships you develop with the clients you care for. The clients I've worked with over the years have taught me helped me to develop more patience, compassion and being more openminded. This feild of work is rewarding in so many ways besides making good money. You develop and posses a lot of good characteristics traits and long lasting relationships and a friendship with some of the clients you work with. In the end its well worth it.

I Became a caregiver as a way to fulfill my love of helping the elderly,sick,and disabled population. In high school I loved volunteering at nursing facilities so helping people In need is naturally my passion. I look forward to getting to know your family and helping in any way i can.

Some times when my clients are feeling depressed or down about their conditions i always make humor out of the situation or can I can just be a listener for when they want to talk about it . I am a social worker and have been for 30 years. I began working with seniors when my dad went into a nursing home and I got the opportunity to meet a lot of the friends he had made there. I began working with seniors in the community and enjoyed it immensely! I love helping people and I love listening to stories of people's life experiences. I wanted to help more, so I joined the Alzheimer's Association. Then I began working as a care giver for an agency. The pay was very low, but I so much enjoyed what I did. After 6 months, I was promoted to Field Care Manager. this meant that I supervised and supported the care givers and provided case management to clients and their families. I adored my job!!!!!! Unfortunately, my agency was unable to attain a license to provide personal care in NY State, so I was laid off. I loved what I did so much and wanted to continue providing services to seniors through direct care giving and/or case management. I now provide services to seniors independently. I am a middle aged woman with two grown children who are each married, a grand son who is about to turn five, a granddaughter who is 4 months old , and my dog (Puggle) whom I love with all my heart.. I love animals so much!!! In addition to being a mental health professional, I am a crafts person and spend lots of time making and selling crafts. I am a very easy going person and compassionate and caring. I go out of my way to do what I can for others. I love to laugh and tell stories. I'm an excellent listener.
