At the small age of 9 i would help my aunt take care of my Great grandmother. Dressing and feeding and just being there for her. I've always wanted to be someones light in their darkest times. Taking great care of people is what I know. I've done caregiving my whole life and I always enjoy meeting new people and hearing the stories of how life used to be. I believe everyone deserves to have a good life even better a great ending. No one should ever feel unloved or wanted when they need help. I want to make life easier for other's, as we know illness doesn't make anything easy. I moved to lincolnville to help take care of a family member before corona. She had dementia and Alzheimer's as well as DVT. She passed away october 2020. She was and is an amazing soul. To put it simply, I love what I do and I love to help anyway i possibly can.

I am a loving and caring Senior Home Caregiver/Companion. I provide the best personal hygiene care, grooming, toileting, skin, medication, oxygen, and blood glucose monitoring , and wound care, I have excellent communications skills & record keeping to keep communications open. I'm honest, reliable, very punctual, and most importantly a very good listener. I am available to work different schedules, day, evening, and sleep overnights. With theses qualities, my professional training, and my experiences, I am prepared to care for and assist anyone needing my help. I am able to assist in almost all duties required but no lifting and very light housekeeping . I've been happily married for 41years & have 3 beautiful daughters & 5 adorable grandchildren. Shortly after, I took a position with an Internal Board Certified Geriatric Physician for 14 yrs. It was there I knew what my life's passion would be. I retired to dedicate my work in helping the elderly stay at home. It's been over 30 years now and I still enjoy their company and stories that keep families together. I became a cna my junior year of high school knowing it would be a good start to my healthcare career. I have worked in facilities and the hospital setting. I also spent 6 years doing in home care & hospice , which I prefer because u get the time to do better care & get to focus all your energy on One person at a time versuses 5 or 10.You can connect with a person better in their own environment & I enjoy being able to help people stay in there homes when without help it may not be possible. I'm currently enrolled in a bachelor's of nursing program a nd hope to receive my degree in 4 years. My nursing degree has been my lifelong goal & I can't wait to be able to help people in a whole new way.
