I have been a caregiver for the past 7years I have worked in Facilities and private duty. I have taken care of a variety of patients and I have had lots of training though out my career. I love what I do being able to help put the families mind at ease and making my patients feel comfortable. I have been taking care of people young and old all of my life, I always deal with people with love and respect especially our elders because they took care of us now it is time for us to take care of them with compassion empathy and love

I have been a caregiver for 25yrs and more. I love my job, helping and caring for others. Very caring, compassion, I love to just to see the smiles. I have work at nursing working with all type of people. Taking care of my on parents before they passed away. My mother had dementia and my father cancer. I also work at the Kalamazoo Psychiatric hospital for 11yrs. I have worked with Senior Services. Then went to Grand Rapids and worked with the Veterans Now working at Medilodge of Kalamazoo been there for the last 2yrs.

I became a caregiver because that is what feels natural and comfortable to me. My career has always involved patient care in one form or another. I have assisted different types of customers in various settings.

I won't go through your things...(lol) I'm trustworthy. I'm reliable. I'm timely. I'm committed. I'm knowledgable. I'll love your loved one. I like caregiving because I like helping people and helping the families maybe sleep a little better at night knowing I'm around. Ain't nothing going to get past me, so you don't have to worry! I'm serious about my job but also light hearted. I don't take the bad days to heart. I know disease is disease and not people. 12 years of medical field knowledge. Ive worked in clinics and privately. Anywhere that was needed; rehab, hospital, nursing home, chiropractor, in-home. I hope i'm a good fit!

I got started n the care giver field by my grandfather becoming very I'll and my family decided to take him home and care for him there. He believed in me so much he paid out of pockect for me to get my certification! So I feel in love with what I do! I believe I'm a good care giver because I'm very sensitive and compassionate of how a resident may b feeling or what they may even be wanting to do. I have a lot of patience when it comes to handling and dealing with any situations.

I became a caregiver because I enjoying helping people. Assisting others whether in the hospital, skilled nursing , or home setting is rewarding. Many people have much pride and I think it is important to guide them into being as independent as they can for as long as they are able too both mentally and physically. My passion is assisting the older adult population. It is key to building both a trusting relationship with the person being cared for along with any family and or friends involved. Being a caregiver you get to meet many people. That would be my favorite part. I am a people person, and having strong communication skills and being trust worthy is a must. My first encounter with the geriatric population was when I was in high school I volunteered at the skilled nursing facility my great grandmother lived in. After meeting the residents, and assisting them during activities I knew I wanted to be a caregiver. I have worked in the hospital setting for 10 years, customer service for 1 year, and a patient care assistant for 9. I graduated with my bachelor degree in interdisciplinary health services, and have a master degree in occupational therapy, although not certified at this time. Some of my hobbies are playing sports, working out, being outdoors, reading, meeting new people, and spending time with my family.
