I think the traits that make me a good candidate for caregiver are that I am empathetic to the client's situation, understanding that I am their to assist the client' in achieving their goals, and I'm an active listener and truly try to get a view of the entire situation going on. I have worked with many different populations with stronger emphases in mental health, developmental disabilities, and addiction and recovery. I have worked with clientele as young as 18 and as old as 90, so I am rather comfortable working with any age group.

My personality traits are patience and understanding. I have 10 years of experience. My grandmother made me to want to be a cna. I love taking care of others. I look forward to graduating from college.

Growing up I have always been very interested in helping people for their daily living. I am kind, gentle, and very compassionate person. What attracted me to being a caregiver was generally to help people and advocate for people. What enjoy most about being a caregiver is to be able help people in their sickness and you see how their health improves. My name is Mercury, I took care of my parents when I was 16, for 10 year , they were both stroked, that experience helped me become a great caregiver. I have been a NA/CNA for 20 yrs now because I love caring for people. I enjoy seeing the people I care for progress in their recovery. Then by the time they are able to go home knowing that I was able to assist them and be part of their recovery journey is always wonderful. I've had many rewards throughout my 20 yrs as a caregiver. I became a caregiver I helped take care of my grandmothers and every since then I knew that's what I wanted to do in life. A personal achievement I am proud of is my daughter was born with a heart defect and she had two open heart surgeries I was scared didn't know how I was going to get thru that but I did an I became a full time single mother I made sure she took her medicines on time which was three different meds two times a day made sure she was in a clean environment , she had a lot of doctors appointments we never missed one.
