My mother was an RN that owned a large senior day care that I grew up in, in her twilight years I became her caregiver so I've been on both sides of the 'caregiver' role, I know how hard it is to find a good match and how important dependability, honesty and a compassionate heart is. I have a passion/ patience for taking care of the elderly. I started taking care of my own grandparents and thats when i knew my help was needed. My greatest joy about helping the elderly is listening to the stories they tell about their childhood. Be able to be there for my family. The reason that I love it is because I had a car accident 20 years ago I could not do nothing for myself and my family took care of me and I said to myself whenever I'm getting better and able to do everything I have to help others who needed help & won't be able to take care of themselves. And because I have compassion for what i do and I tell anyone that who want me to work with a loved one if they don't have enough money to pay I'm willing to negotiate. Because our Father in heaven wants us to care for one another.
