Hello, I consider myself a warm, compassionate person with a gift of patience. I empathize with many because I know what it feels like to need someone one to lend a hand and how difficult it may be to ask for that help when needed. At age 15, I cared for my dying mother and father, and decided to dedicate my life to be of service to others who could no longer care for themselves. I can honestly say that care giving brings out the best in me. When I see a need, whether it be physical, mental or spiritual one, I am challenged to work with the families to help fulfill that need. Everyone deserves that kind of experience in life and I believe everyone needs somebody. I am very proud to be a caregiver for the last 35 years and the families I have met have enriched my life and have helped me grow as a person. I am a very down to earth person who loves being a caregiver. I got into this field because i've always wanted to help people since I was a young child, but it wasnt until I assisted with the care of my great-grandmother who had Alzheimer's that I really knew this is what I wanted to do! I am a HHA and CNA in which I preform a lot of private care to the elder. administer prescribed oral medications, under the written direction of physician or as directed by home care nurse or aide, and ensure patients take their medicine. Provide patients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, and with dressing and grooming. Care for patients by changing bed linens, laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care. Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor or case manager and what ever else is needed from me. I am very patient, compassionate, loving, and very down to earth. I treat my elders just how i would treat my family. i also have my own transportation and will not have a problem getting to my destination when needed...

I am often told by friends, family even co-workers and patients that I care . I always try to go above and beyond to put a smile on someone face life is hard as it is the least I can do is try and make someone have a better day. I always knew I would be in the healthcare field since a child my grandmother would bring me along with her somedays to do her home health jobs and in doing so I gained experience . I Enjoy being a caregiver because its fulfilling I learn alot working in the geriatric field when the residents tell me about their lives and I always enjoy the stories and hearing how times have evolved. My greatest achievement in this life is becoming a mother to my beautiful Children.
