I am a Certified Nurses' Assistant (CNA) and Medical Technician. I have been working in health care for over 30 years. I worked in Nursing Homes, Putnam Hospital Center and in people's homes caring for the sick and elderly. I have experience working with Patients with Alzheimer's, Dementia. Diabetes, Cancer, Parkinson's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Post operation, G-tube feeding, Tracheotomy, just to name a few. Caring for others is my top priority which I thoroughly enjoy.

Since I was a very young girl I have always known that I would be a caregiver. I watched my grandmother take care of the elderly at the Senior Citizens Center in Harlem,NY and I helped her which gave me satisfaction. The fact that I'm able to assist and provide a needed service to those in need is very rewarding. I'm most proud of my daughter who is now attending college for her RN. I am dependable, resourceful and am a good listener.

I have been a care giver for 20 plus years. I enjoy what I do despite some of the pitfalls of losing a patient or going through a change in their condition. Those experiences are so hurtful to watch but you must still give comfort and support. However, those pitfalls have made me more of a better aide in terms of what to look for and what care or support is needed. My current goal is to finish college and become an RN , I am currently attending college with great hopes of being accepted in to the Nursing program.

I became a caregiver because I love people and I feel people should have the best quality of life in there time of need. I love to help people learn new ways of taking care of themselves so they can have the best quality of life during there illness. I love the smiles I get when I arrive to start my job , I teach and clients teach me its a fabulous feeling. I made one fabulous achievement about a year ago and I will never forget it. I started to take care of a client when the client had one amputation , it was sad but we continued to do lots of stuff I had to give encouragement everyday , Then one day the client had to have the other leg removed. At this time the client was so depressed everyday was a struggle but I told the client we can still do what we did before its just going to take a little longer the clients response was," I want to go to Kohl's shopping". I said okay we can do that let me plan it out. Guess what the client went shopping at Kohl's and went to lunch, Where there is a will there is a way. I will never forget that one month later the client passed a way but the client got the shopping trip that was thought to never happen. People told me that I would not be able to do this with this client when I did they said I was one of a kind. I said no I am not I accomplished another good deed for a wonderful person. I have worked as a nursing assistant for 15 years. I have worked for nursing homes , Hospice , and acute care for Margaretville Hospital. I am CPR cert

I have 25 years of working as a medical professional Nurses Aide and Nurse Tech I have Critical Care and Traumatic Brain injury skills that home care clients need and depend on even have past experience in Ventilator care however I am compassionate the ability to sense and feel another and to be there for them is huge im always on time never late and dedicated to my patient care

I became a caregiver because I like the good feeling I get when I can help someone especially the elderly, with daily living skills or even just getting out into the community. I have just completed the course of CNA and would love the chance to put my schooling to work.
