As a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse with more than 14 years of experience, both clients and co-workers would best describe me as an LPN dedicated beyond normal expectations; with a kind reflective nature and strong moral character. I became a care giver because caring for others was a natural inclination for me. My Mother first noticed my gift of caring for others when I cared for her following a surgical procedure. After cleaning, cooking, and picking up medications she called me a natural little "Florence Nightengale." As a Christian caring for others was not only my gift it was also my passion! I find myself blessed to be able to align my passion with my gift and it result in my life work! A personal achievement I am most proud of occurred when I was working at an Alzheimer's care facility. My assignment included a unit consisting of mostly bed ridden and wheel chair confined clients. Due to the decreased level of physical movement and activity most of the clients suffered from pressure ulcers, skin tears and wounds as a result of decreased circulation. This particular unit when assessed was never given above a C- grade within the excellence in level of care scoring system. Within a 3 month time period beneath my charge this same unit received an A+ pinning within the excellence in level of care scoring system. I am most proud to be a Nurse when both my client(s) and their families are safe, well cared for and happy with my care delivery!

Hello! I am a very social person and always see the brighter side of things! I guess you could say my cup is always half full! My passion began many years ago when I became the caregiver of my Granny, who lived with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I then took on the care of my father who had his first stroke in 2014. I have an AAS, BSN, and I am working on my Master's currently. I approach every situation with the thought of "what would I do if this was my family member?" No matter how small or big the need for services, one thing is gauranteed, I provide 100% ethical, safe, and fun care!

Hello my name is Paul Dupuis. I am 34 years old and have been a STNA since 2009 full time with the exception of also working as a Office Manager and Surgical Coordinator for and Endocrine surgeon for 5 years while in Colorado so that was a great opportunity to learn more about Post Op care. I believe I am a great STNA because I feel the need to take care of and nurture others in almost any kind of situation. I am very tidy and full of energy. My motto since a coworker said it to me 8 years ago is " If you don't use it you loose it!". It might become annoying to a Resident who doesn't want to hear it that day but I am great at helping get a Resident to that point and past it. Even if it's just to hold their own toothbrush, it might seem small to some but could be a huge stride in their life. I love my "job" and I live building relationships with my residents. I am very versatile as I've been a STNA since 2009 full time in Long term care, Physical Therapy Assistant, Rehabilitation units, Behavioral Units ( my current position) and more on.

What makes me a great caregiver is I enjoy being a caregiver. It is not just a job to me. I treat everyone with respect and IAM always on time or early. I get along with people very well and it shows with my care. I enjoy helping others. It makes me feel fulfilled on life to help others . My greatest achievement is being a father of 3 wonderful children. I show them to use manners and respect. I promise to show you or your loved ones both.

I have been doing this type of work for 18 yrs and have never had a complaint.i love helping people young and old. My passion for this type of work is the fact that I get to help someone try to gain their independence back I am a very compassionate person and I love helping elderly patience.

I became a caregiver because I watched my Grandma in the nursing home get treated poorly and I wanted to make a difference in at least one person's life. I make a good caregiver because I treat everyone like they're my family; I'm loving, caring, and very compassionate about what I do.

I became a caregiver because its my passion to take care of others. The best part of being a caregiver is that making sure the person that can't take of themselves are well taken care. The personal achievement is when they thank you so much for coming and so happy you are there to take of them. I am 28 years old. I am have never been married and I don't have any kids. Taking care of other has always been my passion. I have been a caregiver about 4 years. I am being doing home health care for 3 years. I am reliable and have excellent transportation. I am just looking for something on the weekends.

I feel like I am a great caregiver cause I try to make the client feel as independent as possible , and by this I mean by helping out with all of their needs but helping out in the way they like it and as a friend not as a worker. I try to build a relationship of trust and friendship before anything. What pointed me to be a caregiver is my mom did this for years and I loved hearing all the lovely stories about how she made a persons day just by helping them out in a open hearted way. I enjoy building a relationship with my clients and laughing and joking around with them, basically making them feel alive and up to speed on today's world. My personal achievement I am proud of is having multiple clients wanting me in their home and building relationships with their family and friends as well as them, it really warms my heart.
