I am a mother of six. Work in nursing homes for 10 years now work in a psychiatric hospital been there for 18 years love doing what I do. I am a good person as in listening and helping others. I live for recovery of helping as much as I can. Before i work in nursing home I was a teacher's aid in daycares. I just enjoy people. Very hard working person and cares alot about people.

I am great at communicating with a resident with a tone that they are able to understand. I have patience and do not move at a fast pace that can throw the person off. What attracted me the most to caregiving is being able to help someone in need who can not have that care on a daily bases at home alone. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is seeing the person happy at the end of the day. Making them feel comfortable when they feel like giving up. I am proud that I haven't given up this wonderful opportunity. I have been caregiving for 3 1/2 years. It has brought my bond stronger with my grandparents.

I became a caregiver because I wanted to take take care of people. I love the one on one care I am able to give my patients. My personal achievement, is my son and his accomplishments.. (He is a child of special needs). I enjoy working with people and giving them the care they need so they are able to stay in there home invironment.

I knew that I wanted to become a caregiver when i was 16 years old. My aunt was a CNA and i got the chance to interact with some of her clients and I knew I had an unconditional love for those in need. So when I graduated high school in June, 2000, I moved to Lancaster, PA to pursue some type of care giving occupation. I've adored my jobs ever since!!! I first worked in an assisted living facility, which i completely enjoyed, but after a while i realized I like to spend the majority of my time one on one with my clients. So I decided to try Home Health Care in year 2004 and have been there ever since. An achievement of mine was saving someones life at my job with CPR. It was an act I'd hoped to never have to face, but once I did the reward of saving someones life was unimaginably accomplishing. It made me realize I love what I do. To tell you just A few things about me, I love to work and I'm a hard worker. Health Care comes very natural to me. I'm always smiling and humorous and positive, I'm great at adjusting to peoples needs , I'm always on time if not early, I'm reliable and dependable, I am also an excellent housekeeper. Cleaning is a secret passion of mine. I can cook and I'm very personable. I have an amazing husband that I spend time with as much as possible on my free time. We love to travel and we love the beaches. I'm excited to find someone to help and i enjoy working long hours.

I never thought about becoming a caregiver until I became a caregiver because I like helping others and I like learning more about others and and I also like having experience oh how to do many possible things I never knew I could do

I feel that I am a great caregiver because I am very compassionate about what I do. I love to help people in any way that I can. I feel caregiving is a very fulfilling career, because you actually get to see the progress you are making with your consumers. I become very close with my clients quickly. All of my clients enjoy having me work with them, they like my personality and the fact that I do not waste my time when I'm with them. I have been doing this for 25 plus years, so I must enjoy it. I have never had a complaint from any client in my performance or attitude, in fact I've had just the opposite. I just lost a client to Covid 19 in May that I had worked for privately for almost 4 years, that is how I came to work for the 3 agencies that I work for now. One of my greatest achievements is helping a consumer walk again after working very hard doing his exercises to get him stronger and getting him back in his feet.

What attracted me into being a caregiver is that I love working with & taking care of others. I enjoy most about being a caregiver is I love when I am able to make a difference in someone's life everyday.

I've been working as a caregiver for over 10 years which I very much enjoy. The reason I became a caregiver/ companion is because I was raised by my grandmother and I care about others that is in need of help with everyday living activities. I've been taking care of the elderly for many years that my personal achievement is being dedicated and loyal to a client as she reached her dying day. I received a lot of my beginning experience from taking care of my grandmother until she passed away.
