I'm a reliable, honest and a hardworking caregiver. I have 16 years of experience working in the home care setting, Nursing home skills, rehab and assisted living. I've worked with a variety of patients including Dementia/Alzheimers, Parkinsons Disease, Autistic children etc. I love helping all kind of people especially the Geriatric population. I help with ADLs, run errands and become a companion who treats them with respect and dignity. I'm very attentive and a good communicator to my Patients. I became a caregiver because I wanted to take take care of people. I love the one on one care I am able to give my patients. My personal achievement, is my son and his accomplishments.. I knew that I wanted to become a caregiver when i was 16 years old. My aunt was a CNA and i got the chance to interact with some of her clients and I knew I had an unconditional love for those in need. So when I graduated high school in June, 2000, I moved to Lancaster, PA to pursue some type of care giving occupation. I've adored my jobs ever since!!! I first worked in an assisted living facility, which i completely enjoyed, but after a while i realized I like to spend the majority of my time one on one with my clients. So I decided to try Home Health Care in year 2004 and have been there ever since. An achievement of mine was saving someones life at my job with CPR. It was an act I'd hoped to never have to face, but once I did the reward of saving someones life was unimaginably accomplishing. It made me realize I love what I do. To tell you just A few things about me, I love to work and I'm a hard worker. Health Care comes very natural to me. I'm always smiling and humorous and positive, I'm great at adjusting to peoples needs , I'm always on time if not early, I'm reliable and dependable, I am also an excellent housekeeper. Cleaning is a secret passion of mine. I can cook and I'm very personable. I have an amazing husband that I spend time with as much as possible on my free time. We love to travel and we love the beaches. I'm excited to find someone to help and i enjoy working long hours.

I am great at communicating with a resident with a tone that they are able to understand. I have patience and do not move at a fast pace that can throw the person off. What attracted me the most to caregiving is being able to help someone in need who can not have that care on a daily bases at home alone. What I enjoy the most about caregiving is seeing the person happy at the end of the day. Making them feel comfortable when they feel like giving up. I am proud that I haven't given up this wonderful opportunity. I have been caregiving for 3 1/2 years. It has brought my bond stronger with my grandparents.

I chose to become a caregiver 13 years ago. I chose this line of work after helping take care of my grandfather. There is honestly no profession that is more rewarding than being a caregiver. To make a difference in someone's life, even for just a few hours isa great feeling. Seeing clients/residents smile when you enter the room is a rewarding. I enjoy listening to the stories about their life. I have worked the mentally challenged, dementia patients, and stroke patients. Having patience, and being a good listener, are the best qualities of a good caregiver.
