I became highly interested in the health care field because I knew I could make a positive difference in people's lives. I am great people's person that is well outspoken. My work stands out from others and certainly speaks for itself. I have plenty of experience, working at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Emergency department. Currently have my CNA, GNA, & PCT. I have been in the healthcare industry for about 20 years now. The reason I entered the field was because my Mother and Stepdad took sick when I was about 12 and I became the care provider to them both. We did not have much money to have a around the clock nurse so the nurse we had taught me how to do many things. When my parents passed I became a CNA/GNA and I worked in a nursing home setting which I loved for about 7 years. I wanted more even to become a nurse so I left the nursing home setting and begin working in the hospital. I worked there for about 6 years when I had my son I left the hospital and tried a new venture. I entered into my current and most rewarding field, working with individual's who needed me most. Those who have Developmental Disabilities. I have been with my current job for 10. A personal goal of mines was to return to school something I have started and look forward to finishing not just for me but for my son and to give back to those I work with and support on a day to day basis.

Am Patient and compassionate person I see my self helping people . . I enjoy working with people where you have to communicate with people. What I enjoy most is Help elderly patient with there need. That make me smile. Having a career in health care is something am very proud off.

my personality traits include respectful, empathetic, strong willed, loving and caring. what attracted me to be a caregiver is knowing that i can help somebody and their families through a difficult time. i lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's in 2009. As much as i wanted to stay home and take care of her i had to go to school and my mother had to work.... when we found a caregiver for her it was like a huge weight was lifted of our shoulders. we knew we could go to school/work and not have to worry about her not eating or taking her medications, or going on a walk and getting lost. i want to be able to give people the same peace of mind i was given and the same care my grandmother was given. the personal achievement im most proud of is coming out of a dark time and still seeing the good/light in everybody instead of the bad/dark in people. the the thing i enjoy most about being a caregiver is helping people.
