Ever since my mother was diagnosed in 2016 with kidney cancer, I've taken a newfound appreciation for home health care. I helped my father and younger sister care for our mother in her last years. My family has instilled a kindness in me that I carry with me every single day, as it's part of who I am, of who they raised me to be. My parents taught me about how to reflect the love I've been given in my life back out into the world, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about how I can make a difference. I've learned a lot in my life about patience, about knowing to remain joyful in every day, as we are never promised tomorrow. I've been a caregiver for my father in the last few years as well, and I'll never regret that. Being someone who will listen, who will show up and be there for the ones we love, that is what is important to me. I hope I can be that pillar of support for others in my life, and I'm inspired by my parents kindness to do so. I enjoy being able to give others a chance at independence, to feel better about their situations knowing it doesn't have to be done alone. Helping my family in their time of need has been my greatest achievement, because at the end of the day the connections I carry through this life are what matter the most to me. I'm always wanting to learn, wanting to elevate my understanding of this life in how we can help each other, and my goal is to continue to bring that kindness instilled to me to every table I sit at in my life. My father and sister have lived their whole lives with diabetes, so I'm very familiar with treatments and knowing the signs for potential lows or highs in blood sugar levels. I believe in respecting people who need support and allow myself to be available however I can in their day to day life. I keep myself in good shape and have no problems with assisting in any heavy lifting a client may need.

I treat the person or persons as if they were my mother or father. I always make sure they are comfortable and taken care of and have what they want and need. I always make them aware that they come first and are my number one priority. I love the elderly and I love to help them and take care of them by any means necessary. I enjoy seeing the smiles and hearing the laughter from them. It warms my heart for my client to have no worries in the world because I am here to take it all away. I have worked as a nurse since I was 18 years old and I enjoy every bit of it.
