I care about the people I work with. I don't see it as a job but family I'm caring for. My mom was a CNA for over 20 years and she always said I should be a caregiver but fatei feel, brought me to doing this rewarding job. I am a caring and loving person. I'm the person families trust with their loved ones. I cared for my first client to the best of my ability. That was my best achievement.

Since I was a young girl, whether it be for my loved ones or the underprivileged, I have always had an innate concern for those in need. My inherent compassion for the livelihood challenges of others has developmentally led me to pursue an educational life-long career as a guidance counselor and health-care provider. What I have learned in my experience, when caring for any individual, is that each person's needs are distinct and should not be identified as like any other individual. When an individual is challenged in any capacity, demonstrating you care in getting to know them as a person, their strengths and limitations with personable kindness, compassion, and patience, can make all the difference to the individual and the family members who depend on you as an extension of themselves. Sometimes a simple smile can make a person feel more relaxed and willing to work with you as a caregiver to aid them with their inability of managing their own lives on their own. As a professional counselor and caregiver, what gratifies me the most about helping an individual is being a part of improving their quality of life for their overall well-being; mind, body, and spirit

I started caring for people at a very young age. At 19 yrs old I was given the opportunity to be an assistant manager for an HIV/AIDS facility where I came to witness very ill patient that unfortunately were passing away. I wanted to provide comfort, safety and peace and still serve them with dignity and respect. I am a very cheerful, motivated, and compassionate bilingual Spanish/English individual. I have cared for many patients, one of them being my very own father whom had many health complications. It is not easy seeing a loved one be in pain or not well. But whatever I can do to make them feel like who they once were is my ultimate goal. Goal to continue living quality life!

I became a caregiver after volunteering for Hospice and realizing I had a passion for helping others. I really enjoy knowing that as a caregiver I can enrich the lives of so many people and help them live comfortably in their homes when their loved ones aren't able to provide the assistance needed. I also like knowing that I can be a part of allowing seniors to live their life to the fullest regardless of all the hurdles that aging and diseases can bring. I have been a caregiver for about 11 years now I have learned and grown so much as I have been exposed to many different conditions and situations such as dementia, Parkinson's, and diabetes.
