Being a caregiver is all I've ever known! I have a special needs son that is now 17 and thriving as best he can and my father was hit by a drunk driver that severed his spinal cord leaving him without the use of his legs. Being a caregiver is something that I feel God choose me for. It's my gift!

A little about me... I've been a certified nurses aide for over 20 years. I've worked in nursing homes, private sitting and I've worked in Hospice for the past 10 years. I love what I do. Since i started working as a CNA, I've gone to school to do other things, but I keep coming back as a CNA, so I feel this is my passion. My children are grown and I have 3 amazing and beautiful grand children, and another on the way. That's a little about me....

I make it a point to listen to my client. Talk to the family to find out what they do and don't like treat everyone like it's my relatives. I have always wanted to be a caregiver as a child I took care of my Barbie dolls and stuffed l.m..animals and my sister dolls. Any care I give my client to make there day better is a good day they have enough to worry about I just want to make it easier. My greatest achievement was a client live alone and a storm was coming I stayed with her for two days til she felt safe.

I am a caregiver and a nurturing person at heart. I take pride in my work and the quality of care I provide, in caring for my clients as I would care for my very own loved ones. My focus is to provide exceptional care in allowing my clients to continue in their individual independence and assisting in daily living activities in a prideful manner. My experience of 25 years consist of nursing homes, hospitals and homecare, which I've provided care for elderly, young adults, disabled adults and children. My ultimate goal is making a positive impact on people's lives day by day.

I am caring, empathetic, and quick to learn. I have been around all ages and have seen & experienced many different disabilities or health conditions. I tend to be a fixer. I know majority of the patients are probably going to be terminal but personally, I believe everyone in life is considered terminal. I look at things as if we aren't going to get out alive, so let's 1. Meet the necessary needs for each patient. 2. Let them enjoy the life they have left here with the people they love & by doing the things they love. I think for the most part when you have a heart that's keen to the caregiving industry, the most enjoyable thing is getting to go home with a fulfilling, "I did good for someone who truthfully needed it" feeling. But most of all, there's no story like an old story. I love to listen to them, to take in as much as I can but making sure I still fulfill my professional expectations while doing so. My heart is kind and ready to help or do everything in my power to keep these patients happy. Being that I am only 24, I don't have a whole lot of personal achievements that I'm beyond ecstatic to share just yet. But I think in this moment, answering this question, my most proud achievement so far is overcoming the life that I chose for myself. Overcoming the toxic family, overcoming my own personal self doubts or self worth. To feel like enough is enough some days & to know I am worthy of this life, to know God has put me here to do his work so He can sit back and watch is an overwhelming, gracious humbleness. Hi, I'm a CNA and have been since 2005. I currently work at trinity nursing and rehab of Burleson Texas 76028. I became and CNA because I love to make them feel like they are human and can still be happy and be their selfs.. I moved to Texas from Missiouri in 2012... I love what I do and wouldn't change what I do. I'm very good at what I do. Never have had a complaint. I just wanna make them happy and very well taken care of. I currently work at Huguley Nursing & Rehab. Plus CPR Certified. Been at Huguley for almost 6 months and I've already made employee of the month. Not bragging just very good at what I do....
