In order to be a good care giver you must have compassion and empathy. Remember this elderly person will be you one day. Treat other as you would want to be treated. Love heals all and if you don't put love into your day to day actions, the only thing you have to offer is misery.

Caring, understanding, patient, and hardworking. I have always been fascinated with the medical field. I enjoy being able to help patients either gain their strength back after surgery. Also just being helpful with daily things that most take for granted. Being the first to graduate from high school and receiving an Associates degree. Also a personal achievement that I find amazing was being able to care for my doctors father in law before he passed. Helping the family in anyway I could.

I've always wanted to do this because everyone one in my family has been in this job filed. So I grow up around it,and went to work with my grandmother and mother to work when I was young. I enjoy helping other. I want to own my own 24-hour daycare. This filed that I'm in help me have a better understand on how to run my business in the future. I want it to be open to all ages as well. I have plan, hopes and dream to make come true.

I am 53, single, and my child is grown. He is my biggest accomplishment because they told me that he would never walk or talk. He was born a little early due to a car accident and had to have emergency brain surgery at 15 hours old. He is 21, and walks and talks with only a mild case of cerebral palsy. My social work career took a back seat because there just wasn't enough of me to go around. When I tried to enter back into that field, the lack of services to offer made it impossible and heartbreaking, so I ventured off into restaurant management. I stayed for many years until someone I loved needed me worse. And there I found my calling. I have worn many hats. I have a degree in Social Work but no license. I have a certificate in Chemical Dependency counseling and no desire to use it. I have a Restaurant Management license and I'm sure with Covid now that thing is worthless. I am currently enrolled in an online college working on certification to obtain my medical billing and coding credentials so that I can work part time remotely. My goal is to have one or two people to be a caregiver to so I can feel good in my heart and get out of the house some but yet protect us both by not being exposed and potentially getting us sick. I live in Flint and I'd like to find someone close to take care of for both of our sake.

too help people who aren't able to get around like they use to.when helping others it warms my heart to see the looks on their face and i will go beyond helping people i do it everyday its really not a job its something god gives a piece of to those with helping hands.juggling life with five childern (that is a very personal one) I do what needs to be done,sometimes i clean things that i wasnt ask to clean jnot been rude or funny but i am a very clean person and i cant stand a mess walls floors pee poop windows,yards everything.I work a very fast pace and i do not mind sitting and talking with my clients i love to know what they like to do what games they like i love outdoors reading color.Im a very free hearted person who loves to work will work wants to work. I've actually been a caregiver since I was about 8-9 Years old helping my mother with my grandmother and grandfather.. eventually I grew a passion for helping others in need. Just knowing that Im helping someone in need or progress gives me motivation about life itself.
