I am a bright outgoing caregiver who lives bring smiles to my patients. The reason I started caregiving is simply because I love the elderly and those that need day to day care because somebody has to do it. And I love it! This is my passion!

I have good personality and interpersonal traits, my expertise range from the basis of love care and support which i have done for many years in Cape Town South Africa. I was mainly attracted to become a care giver when i saw the need from seniors in South Africa who lived on their own and have to go on their own to the super market to buy food in dangerous areas where they can be mugged and have their money taken from them. I enjoy socializing with the seniors, listening to their past experiences and also learning from their sickness or illness be it diabetics or any other disease, i love learning more on how best they love to be treated. I cared for my late mother in-law who had diabetics and i enjoyed every minute of helping her to manage her sugar levels and monitoring and record keeping of all the readings. I am proud of the fact that i had this quality time to be a care giver in my home to my mother as well as to my mother in-law. I have also cared for Senator Jack Edward Jones in Harare Zimbabwe at the age of 18, i had the love to care for seniors. He had been mugged and tripped on his hip bone and underwent surgery, upon discharge from the hospital, i personally managed the care at home until he could get out of bed. I did bed baths and i loved it because i knew he cant do it for himself, then who else if i was present in the home, it had to be me.

I enjoy helping people who need the help with little things that make life a little bit easier as a person matures,or from an unexpected experience, ora temporary set back in everyday life. I enjoy learning and experiencing new things, cultures, traditions and elderly people as these things help me be a better person and an exquisite healthcare provider. I especially enjoy when the person or people that I am helping or have helped have a sigh of relief for the expression on their face. That makes me feel great and to continue the good work.

I am a retired nurse with over 20 yrs of experience and I have worked in many fields in my nursing career to include home health private duty, psychiatric, corrections and geriatric. I think I have a special calling/ gift of caregiving because I have a passion for it.I enjoy taking care of others

Primarily I have been in the field for over 15 years as a teenager taking care of my own love ones which made become passionate about the role of a caregiver. I assisted and helped take care of my great grandmother and watched her transition from being independent to assisted to dependent before her passing. Since then I have been licensed for 10 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant/Geriatric Nursing Assistant. I was also taught that providing the best quality of life for loved ones is best at home and at which this is what makes me so special because I have gained experience from taking care of my own loves ones and even still I will lend a helping hand to anyone who is need. I have 5 years experience with Alzheimer's and Dementia and have 2 years of skilled/rehabilitation. I mostly enjoy being able to provide that one on one care and giving the patient the best quality care of life. A personal achievement of mind is never being forgotten when I come in to help patients. I was raised in the medical field and I could not be more than happy with the continuing knowledge and experience I have to help someone.
