I love my career as a caregiver (CNA).I have been doing this for over 25 years. And I strive to be the best every day. Listening and try to know my client's needs are my utmost goal every day on the job. I love to see the Joy I am able to bring and the peace of mind to my clients every day knowing I am showing up no matter what to help them through the day.

My name is Courtney, I am a CNA that absolutely loves what I do! I have been CNA for 9 years and absolutely love what I do! I was born and raised in the upper peninsula of Michigan, and moved to Washington 10 years ago, where I graduated and started my career. I am a very up-beat, happy person. I have Dementia and Alzheimer's training, I am nurse delegated and have recently worked as a lead med tech in an assisted living and memory care unit. I treat each client as an individual and I am very patient and understanding when it comes to care/needs for you/ your loved one, I take my time and make sure they know what I'm doing before I do it and I am not afraid to ask questions when I am unsure of something. I am very trustworthy, reliable and I also always make the best of my visits by keeping them as active/independent as possible to promote quality and longevity of life. Iam have experience for more than 10years in this feild. I worked in the rehab/ nursing home, assistant living, adult family home and one on one on private home too. Hello, I'm Kathryn but you can call me Katie! I enjoy assisting residents with having the best quality of life possible and if we laugh and have a good time to then we are both winning in life! I have been a caregiver for 16+years. I started caring for children in my neighborhood when I was 12 years old and knew then that I would grow up caring for others. During high school I was in a volunteer program for elderly companionship and truely enjoyed spending time with the people I've met. I love listening to stories, reading books, playing favorite games, and bringing laughs to their bedside tables. If I help a laugh or smile I feel like I'm doing my job right. I know pretty much all the tricks of the trade when it comes to just about anything that comes up in a situation for a person once I've gotten to know them and their daily routine. I focus on client based care, and meeting the clients needs and comfort is priority and I do as best possible with what tools I have to work with.

Being a great caregiver is to listen to your clients and what they need and want. I was working in a office setting for 18years and wanted to work hands on helping people.when looking at my clients and seeing how pleased they are over the small things I do for them for example ( fixing a meal or making their bed).

I chose to become a CNA and caregiver due to my extreme passion for caring for others. I am very patient, caring, friendly, and easy to get along with. I enjoy the satisfaction it gives me to see the smile on a clients face when they are finally able to take those first few steps I have been encouragingly help coach to after a rough knee surgery. Or when my client walks out into the once filthy and trashed kitchen only to see it sparkling clean while they inhale the scent of fresh lemons and a pleased smile cross their face. Those moments make all those days of 16hour shifts and nonstop madness when everyone on your floor is sick at the same time, worth every last tear, complaint, and restless minute. My compasion for others helps me shine as a caring, reliable, selfstarting, long time caregiver and companion.

I am a health care professional with about 7 years experience under my belt. I went to Dental Assistant school at 19 years of age and was officially a dental assistant graduate by 20 years of age. I love helping vulnerable and in need clients by slowly getting comfortable and introduced I love using my since of humor. I have been trained on observing challenges and seeing to it what your loved one needs. More background on myself ... I transferred my carrier over to Nurse assisting when my great grandmother passed away in my arms. It was a life changing experience I then gained a special ambition and charisma to help people in the nursing field. I've been a visiting angel I've worked for multiple major assisted living nursing homes all over the skagit county I have references as well for that in hand if needed. I was a manager for a company called Res care friendship disability services in San Diego CA. I obtained most of my skills with Disability clients and mental health specialty training positive behavior support and problem solving ethic due to challenging triggers some of the clients I've worked with that had occurred. I remain positive open minded with providing compassion always as I believe mental health is important when your loved ones are sick and or vulnerable and needing a helping hand and a positive person to exceed intently to the word (help) in their life. I can pass a back ground check and I have obtained my Nurse assistant registration for 5 years in a row. I am still young and can be bubbly and fun. I am a great listener my only intention is to make a better difference and to make light in a dark place

I became a Caregiver because I love providing home caregiving services to those that would need a extra-hand at times. The smile on their faces lets me know I'm apart of something great, something as special as helping others. I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients make a difference for them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. My biggest achievement that I am very proud of, is that I graduated with highest academic honors for Certified Medical Assistant from Everest College.
