I am dependable, I worked as a caregiver for ten years for my previous employer. I am compassionate and trustworthy concern about others first.I like doing work that makes a differences in someone 's life and helping people.I was able to complete my education while working full time.

I started of in the caregiving field with taking care of my grandfather. In the process I got to learn a lot and I did enjoy doing it. I treat every client like my own family with love and compassion. Every client had different needs, so I get to understand the client first and foremost. I mostly enjoy the learning process in caregiving, no matter how long one has been a caregiver, we get to learn new things every time. I once had a client who had dementia (late stage), who did not want to go to bed (it was late at night). One thing that the client enjoyed was watching animal documentaries . I showed the client pictures of different animals that I had taken when I went to Kenya and the client calmed down and I was able to redirect the client to bed. My patience with the client helped me assure the client that I was on her side. This scenario really made me proud of the caregiver that I'm becoming. I love what I do.

I have over 10 years experience as a caregiver. I have worked for home health care agencies as well as private clients. I have also worked as a live in care giver. In my career as a caregiver, I have worked with clients with various conditions including dementia, Alzheimer's, stroke, diabetes, cancer treatment, hospice. I enjoy working as a caregiver because it is a rewarding job. I get satisfaction in knowing that I was able to be of help to my clients in their time of need. It gives me joy hearing my clients appreciate the help am able to offer. I am very observant and pay attention to detail, because of that, I am able to offer recommendations to my clients and aides that will make their everyday living easier. I am kind, patient and I take care of my clients as I would my own family or as I would love someone else to take care of my family. Most of the families I have worked with over the years are now part of my family.

I being the first born in my family have done a lot of care in different areas. I was taught by my parents how to love,give attachment, attention, protection and help regardless the kind of situation. I've always been trying to help the elderly back home in severe cases and have been doing this out of my heart I was also a teacher and a counselor back home and this helped me very much to know how I can chip in and give some care I'm always happy when I see someone out of danger and is having some peace. This caregiving job is extremely good because when you are with your clients you relate with them and therefore you feel in the right place and in another family setting. I really enjoy because I feel them as my family forks. I've realized quite some reasonable changes generally in my clients lifestyle and health improvements .when I see they are confident and are trusting me for their care I feel good and honored, so I feel proud of my achievement.

I am a people person and love taking care of people. At the end of the day, it makes me feel good to know I helped someone else. I tend to go above and beyond for others, it comes natural for me. Going through the training to become certified has been a personal achievement, I was nervous at first, thought it would take forever. In addition, I am US Army Reserve since in 2008 as Patient Admin Specialist; As a drilling member, one of my duty is to attend my drill weekend every month and do the right thing wherever I go and whatever I do.
