Hello I am looking for employment associated with UHC/CareLinx program. I am a mature adult, reliable and trustworthy. I have chosen the caregiving field for a few reasons. First, because of the need and who does not want to feel needed? I do. Second, there is a satisfaction to helping those who cannot do for them selves as they once did. Helping fill basic needs and deeds. I have feeling for elderly people they are of value to all of us in a lot of ways. I'm sure those who are searching for caregivers feel the same. I worked with IHSS I think I'm good taking care of elderly people. I'm Jehovah's Witness and God teach us to take care of our neighbors so I'm trying my best to accomplish that commandment. What I enjoyed about being a caregiver is that I'm doing something good for someone else. And I'm proud to be someone that people can trust to take care of their loved ones.

I have handled many different scenarios and situations so nothing surprises me to much. No one is perfect However, I strive to be the best person I can be everyday. A personal achievement of mine was when I worked with an individual who was non verbal and he had a lot of behaviors and he could be very mean. I spoke to him and treated him like he was the same as everyone else. I cooked a special dinner for him and made it all homemade from scratch and he watched me make the whole meal. When I served him he looked at me took a bite then reached over and grabbed my arm gently and kissed my arm and he smiled so big. It took about a month to get that acceptance from him. When he finally accepted me it made me tear up. I felt so accomplished because this guy ran off so many Direct support Professionals. I felt as though I could do anything because of the wonderful feeling of gratitude and gratefulness that I received from that individual.

Caring and lots of patience can help me be a great caregiver! Helping people and I have a disabled son that made me want to watch other people it helps me learn with him too and his disability's. I enjoy learning something new with them and getting to know them. I'm proud to watch them grow and help them or just be there for my clients
