I became a Caregiver because I enjoy helping others. I like being able to assist others with chores and duties they cannot fulfill themselves, as well as being a companion to the elderly. A personal achievement I have made is making a difference in someone else's life. I have achieved this by tutoring many students within various school districts in all subjects, and youths both incarcerated and released, but were on probation. I have earned my Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice Admin/Human Services, and plan to start on my Master's degree in the near future in Social work or Psychology. I love spending time with family and worship my four grandsons, they are a true blessing to me! ***My rates vary depending on the type of care needed and for multiple people. I also charge double time on holidays. Thank you, and have a wonderful day!!!
I believe that the elderly should be treated with respect, care and offered caring assistance. My goal is to assist seniors so that they could maintain an independent lifestyle. At the same time, loved ones and family members could feel comfortable knowing that a caring person is there to help. In the past, I have worked with seniors and children with disabilities. I'll be happy to provide assistance in daily living which can include light housekeeping: sweeping, dusting, changing linen, washing dishes etc. meal preparations, assistance in eating, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and often snacks as well. Running errands grocery shopping, pharmacy ect. taking client to medical appointments, keeping up on my clients' hygiene, lite physical/ massage therapy or exercise routine as needed, weekly laundry. I'm very compassionate, loving, kind-hearted, intelligent, fast learner, good listener, patient, understanding, honest & humble, as well as trustworthy. Companionship is of high importance as well. My hours of availability are open at this time; if weekends or other hours are required it can possibly be worked out. For new clients, payscale can be negotiable I take in consideration needs, driving time etc.

I am very empathetic, positive, trustworthy, honest, and I love people, particularly seniors. I lost my mother when I was 17 and I cherish families and people for who they are. I love hearing their stories and learning about them. I love to help them and make them feel good and positive even when then might be feeling alone and down. I like to do things for them that they can't do for themselves. I cherish the time I get to spend with them and try to make it as special as possible. Because they are special.

Spent many years caring for both parents while raising my own family. Have since been employed as a caregiver for many years now.

Prior to becoming a caregiver I worked in Business Management for 15 years. I left in 2009 to take care of my grandmother in who needed full time care due to COPD and Parkinson's Disease. While caring for my grandma for 3 years I learned how important it is to make sure the elderly are treated with empathy, patience, love and proper care. So after my grandma went to be with the Lord I new I wanted to make a difference in others who needed assistance in Everyday living due to an Illness or just unable to due things they use to cause getting older which we will all be there someday and need some extra care. So I went to school to better my education and learn more about knowing the proper mechanics and safety to be able to be the best caregiver. I Got My CNA/HHA. I got a job pretty fast after finishing school at a Facility where they put me through a Med Tech Program so I am also able to administer Medication, Take Blood Sugar and Assist with Insulin. I Work with that company for 5yrs but have decided I would like to work as a personal in- home caregiver where I can work one on one and am able to give that client the best care possible and there able to stay in there own homes.
I have experienced as a caregiver for 15 years now> I started in Israel taking care of 2 old lady for 2 and half years until and moved to Canada and worked there as a nanny to two 6 and 4 year old girls. Then I moved here in the United states and been working as a caregiver since, the shortest time that I was with a patient was 3 and half years and the longest was almost 5 years. I always stayed in one patient and had build and strong relationship that most of them consider me as part of their family. I love being a caregiver because I am able to enjoy and learn from them a lot. Being with them taught me a deeper understanding that the job we do requires compassion, love and respect for them.. My greatest achievement that I am so proud of are all the lessons that I have learned taking care of different kind of people, The appreciation I got for taking care of someone is something I consided a great achievement. I am 47 years old, married, no kids, love to sing and love to learn new things.. I completed my Nursing Assistant training and I am now on my LVN nursing program on the reviewing phase in preparation for the licensing exam. I am cheerful, loving and compassionate person.
I have worked as a CNA for over 9 years and as an HHA for over 5 years. I enjoy what I do. My goal is to become a nurse and being a CNA and a Caregiver is a good first step. Whenever I work with my clients, my aim is to find creative ways to encourage them to do something more than they have done before. Though working with various clients has its ups and downs, it is especially exciting for me to see someone get better while in my care. Even a little progress is better than no progress at all.
