Hello, my name is Lisa I am 40 years old and have been a caregiver for a little over 13 years. I am truly compassionate in my duties. I became a caregiver after my grandmother passed away. She was placed in a facility and wasnt getting the care she needed so I spent the last 3 months taking care of her. I understand the importance to have someone who is reliable and understanding someone's needs. My biggest accomplishment so far is graduating college last year with my bachelor's of health services administration which allows me to continue to grow in health care.
I became a caregiver because I love to help people. I love to see others smile and go beyond my job duty to see that they are happy and satisfied. I'm now a Medical assistant and would like to go back for nursing. I hope one-day to have my own home health care. I'm kinda quite at first, but respectful and on time because I don't like to be late. Honest, caring and dependable.
I am a good listener. I try to make my patients feel at ease and feel encouraged to obtain as much independence as they still have. Enjoy listening and sharing each others events of our lives. I love caring for the elderly and disabled but most importantly want them to feel good about themselves. Just want them to know they matter still.
Results driven healthcare professional with several years of well-rounded experience in the medical field. A solid background in nursing theory, acute care, and complete knowledge of HIPPA/patients privacy act. Detailed and precise. Excellent clinical, decision-making and assessment skills. Compassionate, calm and focused individual with a proven ability to take charge in emergency situations.
I am empathetic, compassionate, nurturing, attentive, dependable, committed, organized, happy, patient, honest, industrious, quiet, energetic, conscientious, clean and kind. As a child, I was always in the company of older folks in my community - so much so, that when I was 17 years old I took care of a 76 years old family friend on the weekends for 3 months while still in high school. I was always running to assist them when the need arises. The elderly comes first for me all the times. I was a volunteer at my church's Assisted Living Facility for 5 years, helping the residents with grooming, dressing, feeding, exercises and just general companionship - chatting and making them happy and joyful. I just have this natural passion and respect for them and humanity in general. I enjoy the satisfaction that engulfs me when I perform a task that they might feel a little embarrassed about but, because of the manner in which it was done, (privacy, respect) they just looked at me and say thank you so much, Joan or just smile confirming satisfaction. I also feel ecstatic and encouraged when family members and friends use words like - "Joan, you are the best" "you are a God-send", "you are special", "Joan, I could never do what you do". and you do your work with such professionalism. I am very proud that, through hard work and commitment to serve , I have gained the trust and respect of all seniors I have met and cared for.
I am a loving caregiver with over 15 years of experience. I began as a teenager taking care of my own grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer's. I was trained in a hospital setting as a CNA. I have worked in multiple settings throughout the years, including; assisted living facilities, hospitals, and home care. I prefer to work in home versus a facility, as it allows for a more personal connection and attention. Having cared for my own ill family members, I can understand and relate to how stressful this time is. I pride myself in caring for every person as if they were my own loved one.
I became a caregiver out of a desire to help people. I have over 20 years of experience. I am honest, trustworthy and a hard worker. I am a caring compassionate CNA. I have been a CNA for 9 years. The thing I value most about my job is that, I get to help someone in their time of need. I appreciate the fact that I am making a positive difference in some ones life. I have worked in ALFs, Sub Acute Rehab facilities and Long Term Care, I have seen patients at varying levels of need for assistance. I am here to assist both you and your loved one on this life changing journey and hope to also help brighten your days.
I am dependable and I love working with elderly especially Alzheimer's and dementia patients .I have been doing CNA work for almost 17 yrs. The reason I became a CNA was because 17 yrs ago I went in early labor with my son and almost died. I had to stay in the ICU for two weeks and when I got out the VNA nurses had to come take care of me. So that's when I decided that I wanted to be a CNA to give back, to help someone else they did a wonderful job . I love doing CNA work, that is my passion. One day I wanna own my own assisted living facility working on it now fin to go back to school for healthcare management. And if you give me a chance I will show how trustworthy, honest, reliable and dependable I could be looking forward to meeting you soon.
I became a care giver because I've always wanted to help people who couldn't help themselves. I enjoy being able to bring a smile or just being ones company. I've learned to have patience and deal with a lot.. I'm a mother of three. I'm very lovable, every client I've ever crossed has love me..
I became a caregiver so that I can help others and to show prompt response in time of need and to help the best way I know how to give assistance. Why I like being a caregiver is so that I meet the daily needs of the residence in helping them meet their goals for the day. The personal achievement that I am proud of is working with different individuals with a variety of health problems and different staff members. I am currently studying my Masters in Healthcare Systems Administration and my Bachelors of Science in Nursing Executive Juris Doctor. I will complete my Masters Degree in December 2015. Thank you.
