Caring for seniors is a passion of mine and has been for many years. My biggest achievement is attending nursing school at age 47 after being an executive secretary for years. My philosophy is to treat people as if they were your own family. Even though I am a retired RN, I miss assisting with activities of daily living while keeping a client's independence and dignity in tact. My favorite work was in Home Health for the last 15 years. It is so much better being in a client's home to determine what help is really needed and wanted. I am a happy, caring person and am anxious to help where I am needed.
Am trustworthy dependable person. I became a caregiver because of my Mom) at the age of ten my mother was left disable from an incident in the hospital. I wanted everyone to have the care that we were able to give her. I live being in a position that am able to take care of someone that needs me, am always thirving to becoming a better caregiver a better person. I love what I do for a living.
I started out at 15 years of age. Needed a good job. I soon knew that this was something special. Not just a job but that these were people who had families of their own. Who have worked so hard all their lives to take care of others and have been through so much more then my generation. If not for what they lived through, we would not have what we have or be where we are today. I'm very proud to say that when I lay down at night that I have given back and am helping people who really need it. I have learned that we are all the same and families need help with the ones they love and have taken take of them. I am 46 years of age and have 3 children, all grown. I have been married for 26 years to a wonderful man.
I became a caregiver because i wanted to help others to help themselves and because I enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in someones life. I like knowing that I can make someones life that much easier just by being patient, understanding, kind, loving, and willing to listen as well as paying attention to things to help them in their everyday life. I also like to see the change for the better in people when most would give up I like to find another way to help even when they don't realize it. I am very proud of myself for being successfully in raising my children to be the great children that they are and of myself for being able to do this as a single parent. I am also proud of how far I have come in life and doing very well. I can also say that i am proud of being able to have a positive effect on people. Being able to work with people that others say cannot be worked with. I have 3 beautiful children ages 23, 17, and 14 2 boys and a girl she is the youngest I love working with others and don't mind working hard I would not change what i do for anything I love the challenge of being able to change things around for people when most people might think that it is a waste of time I believe that any and everything is possible if you work hard enough for it.
I'm passionate, caring, loving, with a great sense of humor and understanding especially when taking care of a elderly. I enjoy taking care of elderly. I took care of my father for over 10 years until he passed away in 2014 of the age of 100. So I know how hard and sometime difficult for a family to take care of a loved one especially when they have Alzheimer's or Dementia. I worked privately ,for comfort keeper and currently with companion care, inc. I'm a CNA with CPR. Love pets ,so no problem with home with pets.
My name is Jay Evans, I'm 30 years old, and I've been a resident of Gainesville for the past three years. My wife's work as a resident OB-GYN physician at Shands moved us here, and during that time, I've taken a break from teaching in order to be a caregiver for my grandmother. At this time, I'm looking to re-enter the workforce, and I'm hoping to continue to work as a caregiver.

What makes me a good caregiver is because I have passion for what I do. I enjoy helping the elderly and putting a smile on their faces. It is a rewarding feeling for me. I have about 6 yrs. experience in this field. I take vital signs, bathe, dress, groom, take on errands, light house keeping, and toileting. Thank You.
I began my Health care career as a Candy Aide Volunteer at Gracedale County Nursing Home. Gaining great experience allowing me to be accepted into Vocational Technical School in my junior year of High School and graduated from the Nursing Program. College classes and a fantastic instructor created a solid learning experience both in class and clinical. I received my Diploma with a 4.0 grade. My counselor offered me a full time job with a Chiropractic office and completed Physical exams, intakes and physical therapy. I then started working with Praxis as a Living Unit and Occupational Aide with Mentally challenged adults. I ran the Occupational Therapy Department and was Certified as a Recreational Therapist. Shifting gears I began working at a 5 Doctor Practice Animal Hospital for all exotic and small animals. Quickly moving my way up I found a passion for Pharmaceuticals. This path allowed me work for The Butler Company as a a very successful Pharmaceuticals Representative and Territory Manger transferring me to Florida. I worked full time while raising my beautiful children. I have moved to Washington in 2014. And began working for Volunteers of America as a Direct Suppot Professional for development disabled adults. Loving the area I went back to my most rewarding position. Providing quality care and support to my clients and their family. I have relocated back to Florida to provide support to my Mother. My customer's as a Job Coach and then promoted Employment Specialist for EmployU in Alachua and Levy Counties are my passion. I support my customer's with disabilities to obtain employment and give hope. I will forever continue to heal and support customers to the best of my abilities. It would be my honor to support your family member. Best Regards Colleen Rutt
I have been a caregiver for 15 years. My love for others prompted me to become a caregiver. I enjoy the reward of helping people who are less fortunate and can no longer do as much as they once could do for themselves. The achievement I am most proud of is completing one of my 2 years of college. I am halfway done with my degree!
