I have been a medication technician (CMT) for four years, I administer medications per facility, state and federal law/guidelines by practicing inside my scope. I am also insulin & CPR certified by the state of Missouri and American Heart association. I am comfortable with administering insulin medication, subQ and orally. I am a nursing candidate at Mineral Area College, I have had ECG training along with the knowledge of A&P, Microbiology, Medical Terminology I & II, so I have a good grasp and understanding on how the medications and insulin works and what signs & symptoms to watch for. I was a C.N.A for 16 years and performed all duties of a certified nurses aide to allowable state and federal guidelines. I assisted with ADL's per family, staff and patient request. I have taken care of family members, like my grandmother until she passed when she was diagnosed with cancer in 2017. I have been witness to horrible diseases, genetic and acquired. I have held the hands of people ready to cross over and begin their next journey into the afterlife.
