I like helping others. I have a easy going personality. I love to laugh and make other people laugh. I take my job seriously and always give 100%. I have been taking care of people most of my life. I am an LNA. CPR and first aid certified. My best personal achievement was when my daughter was born. She is now 21.
The best part about being a caregiver is assisting clients in being as independent and comfortable as possible. I have a deep respect for the values and character strengths I see in my clients. It is a privilege to take care of them. I enjoy providing direct care, cooking simple nutritious meals, and doing what is needed to maintain their homes.

My greatest passion is people. Seeing them connect with others and helping them reach their greatest potential whatever season of life they may be experiencing. Family connections are very important to me. Being a mother of five daughters and grandmother to many grandchildren, I see the vital role of family connections, friendships and personal interactions which are needed to create a healthy environment. One special moment I facilitated, was to invite the local editor of the newspaper to interview my current veteran client on his 90th birthday. I had also organized his two best friends who are veterans, and also turning 90 in the same month to attend. It was a privilege to hear their stories and help capture this unique moment.
Compassionate and caring LNA. Focused and hardworking. Care giving to me is rewarding in more ways than a typical 9-5 office job, it's about making a difference. I enjoy having a positive impact and being able to help people. I'm proud of making a change of career to LNA after two degrees and a life in sales and management. My happiness in work is more fulfilling to me than the dollar sign behind it.
I have been taking care of people all my life! I started out at 16 years old as a nurses aide and worked my way up to an RN while raising my family. I have experience with children, disabled children and adults, geriatrics and hospice. My belief is the patient/clients needs come first. I am open and honest . I stay calm during a crisis and maintain my patient/clients dignity at all times.
When I look back on my 15 years of working as a Licensed nurses assistant I like to think about the people that made me who I am, with each senior I helped or assisted I learned something new, I learned about my self as well, I have a lot of compassion for seniors because of my own grandparents who I loved more then life it self.I treat people they way I wanted my own family to be treated. I enjoy home care because you get to know people, seniors love to talk about their life stories and I enjoy listing to them.It was one of the main reasons for me going into home care because I love to hear about the old days of long ago, and I love being around the elderly because they have a lot more to say that what people think, I like being around people who are nice funny and just good people.
Being a mom makes me a GREAT caregiver! Then being a mom of an amazing young man who was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes at age 6, has given me the opportunity to better understand the body, nutrition, medication, administration of and the need for compassion and guidance. I love the opportunity to make someone else's day even better.
I love what I do, and I treat my clients with respect and honesty. I care for my elderly clients as if were my own family. I'm great at what I do, from experience with so many different aspects of my career. Started as Lna in 2008 and continued my education to Mna and phlebotomy. I wanted to learn more about certain diseases and what happens to our bodies with age. My curiosity pushed me to learn more and take classes in Alzheimer's research and Dementia. To further understand my clients so I could help them the best way possible. Also to meet there needs. Every person is different and with age is change..its not easy for them I'VE LEARNED TO JOIN THEIR JOURNEY!
I have always been a caregiver, established with a lifetime of nursing experience. I have been a geriatric nurse until I retired in 2003 and since then I have had several home care positions which I especially enjoyed doing. I like the accomplishment of making a persons life better because of what I have been able to do for them. I am an artist, poet (member of the Poetry Society of NH) read often with other poets, do crafts and work a loom. life is never dull. This time of the year I work my gardens and enjoy kayaking and fishing. Life is good.
I would be a great caregiver because I am empathetic, patient and great at getting a long with all people of all ages. I am attracted to being a caregiver as I am hoping to feel fulfillment in helping others. I would enjoy the fact that I am helping another person who is in need of my assistance. My personal achievement I am most proud of is that I am a mother of a intelligent, loving, kind 9 year-old son. I have a hard-working, supportive, loving husband of 12 years, who I have supported to get to where he is as a full-time Dental Assistant. I have worked with children in the school district, and I have my ALT4 for teaching HEALTH and Family & Consumer Science (passed the teaching praxis flying colors!! 99% on my Math!). I love my family. I love my two cats. I love art & music. I honestly love helping others (I used to manage the Clinique Counter in Concord for 3 years, I am not into sales and I left it to teach for a bit and spend time with my family- retail hours are horrible, I miss my clients most of all- helping them see the beauty in themselves as well as helping enhance it by playing with skincare and makeup. I also was honored by ELLE magazine in 2012 for my contribution to the beauty industry and was called "Concord's Confidence Maker" as it went on to explain how much I care for my clients and they appreciate me- this was something written by my Clinique Manager, I did not even know I was nominated until I read it!) I love education and helping others. I also volunteer at the Capitol Center of the Arts so I enjoy volunteering my time for the arts and working with my retired, older friends.
