I started my career in health care in 2005, I am compassionate and reliable. I have experienced a lot in the last 13 years related to this field. I have experience with Alzheimer's, prosthetics, medication administration, colostomy, trachs, just to name a few.
Ever since freshman year in high school, I have always wanted to do something that related to the medical field. First it was orthopedics and then pharmacy. I did not know that my mind would change to care giver until my junior year. I took a health science technology class starting my junior year. It was a two year class. Junior year was more focused on anatomy and physiology and Senior year we got to decide which path we wanted to go down. I chose the LNA path. I have always wanted to help people and going towards this path seemed like a sure-fire way to get there. I loved doing my clinicals at the two nursing homes near my school. It was an amazing experience. Knowing that I can help someone get through their day a little easier meant the world to me. Almost six years after graduating high school, I am still doing what I love and taking care of the people that need it the most.
I'm a very kind person ,loving person very dependable person love working with the elderlyI am a very fun-loving person to work with love working with people who I can make a difference in their lives
Sincere companionship, listening and hearing what my clients express through observations of physical and emotional status opens the opportunity for me to address issues with gentle non-judgemental compassion manner.
I love being there for people who need day to day help whether it's just to talk or run errands .i have worked both in nursing homes as well as home care and extremely enjoy the quality time you are able to spend with ones who need help.
I love providing home caregiving services to those that would otherwise not be able to do so. The smile on their faces is overwhelming and makes me feel I have done my job right. I have always enjoyed helping people so I know I am doing the right thing.
Becoming a Caregiver was out of necessity, to fulfill one woman's simple request of not being placed into a nursing home. She had had a challenging childhood: daily nourishment often was tea and bread; coats were used as blankets during the evening. She persevered during her marriage, raising a brood of children while being the dutiful wife. So, when called upon, it was an opportunity to give back.
I have found that I have great resolve, have not floundered in my integrity, and have given care with compassion and kindness. In doing so, I have been greatly rewarded.
I have two children of my own that I care for and enjoy taking care of others. I am a fun-loving person that has a wide variety of interests. I love to smile and be funny. I love cooking, going on hikes, movie marathons, traveling, dancing, games, and basically anything that is a good time (or can be made fun). I love pets, kids, helping around the house, random projects, work-out buddy or just someone to talk to. I play the piano, although it's been awhile since I've played, and I like talking science. I was a teacher for awhile so if you would like to teach me something new I would greatly love that! I enjoy being able to make someone else's day better by helping out in any way I can. I am proud of my academic achievements, but I am more proud of my kids and how they are growing up to be wonderful people. I am attracted to being a caregiver because I enjoy the company of people and getting to know others. I look forward to meeting you!
Hi there! I have 25 plus years experience as a caregiver and first responder. My area of expertise is in caring for seniors living with dementia and adults with developmental disabilities. I'm a retired LPN of 15 years active status. I possess excellent references, own a reliable vehicle and am in great health at 55. I am joyful, dependable, positive and communicate well with family members and medical professionals.
I have been working in the health care field for over 40 years. I started when I was a teenager working in special needs regional care camps. I have worked with a span of different kinds clients, from special needs clients to Elderly clients. I have worked in camp setting, group home settings as well as personal homes. I also have had clients that have lived in my home and received around the clock care.
I have always enjoyed helping others and have been told by many of the families of my clients that they could never have done it with out my help.
I have become, what I consider myself to be, an amazing caregiver. I have a huge heart and i tend to put everyone I care for above and beyond everything else. I listen carefully to peoples needs as well as wants and do my very best to provide what is expected by them or the families NO QUESTION.
I decided I wanted to be a caregiver at a young age. My grandmother was diagnosed with dementia and everyone in my family brushed it off as just 'old age'. Well, I wanted to learn more about this dementia and see what I could do to help better her life and the lives of others in this predicament.
What I am proud of most is all the positive feedback from families as well as co-workers, managers included, about how great I am and how lucky a place or family is to have me.
I have many personal achievements but the one I am most proud of, is I will ALWAYS and forever as long as I am caring for loved ones of my own or others, put quality over quantity. I have learned that people need good care no matter the life span, young or old.
