I came to be in the healthcare field from my mom who was an RN and taking care of some of my immediate family and always been a caretaker. Since my 3+ years as an CNA I researched and met people on how I could bring the certification I received to others so traveled across the USA from NY to Idaho as an CNA in long term care facilities, also with private home care, because I want to give back to the Elderly. The experience of working with families, has given me a better perspective on life and the ability to handle any and all personalities, different levels of care, medical diagnosis. My professionalism is graceful and consistent with respect to whom I care for and their families.
What makes me a great caregiver is that I love helping individuals that needs the help the most. I am warm hearted and can understand that I to may need help in the future myself so I look at it as paying it forward. I take my job very seriously. What attracted to me to becoming a caregiver was that I realized that some people don't have family that they can lean on, so as a helper to them, I would be considered family to them. I am outgoing, love to conversate about any topic, loves to cook and read books.
I am conscientious of a person's needs and listen carefully to pick up small details in conversations. I'm dependable and have high work ethics. It brings me joy to know that I've helped a person through caring and sharing. It is awesome when those I've cared for accepted me like I was family. During earlier working years I spent 17 years in nursing homes and 9 years in home care. The past 19 years I worked in sales and online marketing. While recently leaving that type of work, I'm looking to provide home care again. I own a dependable vehicle.
I am a hard-working mother who has been caring for the elderly for many years. I most recently cared for an 88 year old woman who, unfortunately, passed away. I worked in a nursing home for many years as an STNA and currently I am working for an ob/gyn office. I truly enjoy taking care of others.
I'm a very loving caring person and empathetic, I take my job very serious I've worked in this field before I got a job. My father had cancer and my significant other of 30 years had diabetes and other health problems, I cared for the both of them until their passing. I will treat your loved one as my own.
First I am a mother of four so being a caregiver is just a natural instinct to me. I been taking care of mentally challenged individuals for over 15 years now. What I love about being a caregiver is just knowing I'm making a difference in someone's life helping them live a comfortable life. I love seeing my clients happy. The one personal achievement that I am proud of that may sound small but with this individual it was a health concern of mines he ate his meals really fast all the time what I did day by day was sat with him while he ate and prompt him to eat slower with every bite he took it took some time but now he eats slower and enjoys the taste of his food.
I live to be a caretaker! As a single mom of 3 grown children, I have always taken such pride in the love and compassion in the care that I give. I throw my whole self into everything I do. I'm A very patient and kind person who has a lot to offer. You'll find my work ethic, personality, and care are top notch! I have my STNA, tons of experience in home health care live in and ICU hospital employee for several years. Love to cook clean and care for pets. I have many wonderful references as well. Looking to relocate as my three grown children are scattered thru the United States. Experience with dementia,MS,Parkinson's,diabetes, cancer, kidney disease ,Alzheimer's, too many to list. Most of my clients were extremely high class citizens ...heads of government, important people within my community.
I thoroughly enjoy working with the geriatric population, dementia and Alzheimer's being my favorite diagnoses. I am a registered nurse and clinical counselor and enjoy both careers, however at this time I am taking a break from both to take time to focus on myself. I am willing to work with either males or females in any capacity that will help the family. I have a lot of flexibility related to my schedule. I look forward to working with your loved one.
What makes me a perfect candidate caregiver is I have patients and love helping and entertaining my client.I love to make sure my client is happy and satisfied with my work and I make sure my job is complete and well done to perfection. I became a caregiver in 2010 and since then I have enjoyed working and the company of others.I have also gained more patience. I am a very outgoing, loveable, patient, and energetic, reliable, understanding and careing person. I person achievement is raising my children as a single mother and watching them grow and teach them how to be dependent and get threw life as they go on this journey threw life,I go above and beyond as I would want anyone to do for me or one of my loved ones.
I have spent my life serving others as a preacher/missionary wife for 30 years. It is my spiritual gift. I am caring and gentle and can be firm when needed, with encouragement to "getting moving" when able or getting up for doctor visits, etc. My clients have so far all reacted well to me and my stable temperament. I am a go-getter. I move from when I wake up to soon before bed. I take initiative without overstepping my boundaries. I sing and feel music is a big help with depression. I am sensitive to the needs of patient or family who may be near. I could get another "job," but it would not be as fulfilling and there is a real need for good caregivers. Ms. Walsingham thought I should go into my own business. This was a huge compliment coming from this dear former businesswoman. Thank you for considering me for late afternoons or overnights. I moved to Ohio to help my elderly parents in case they were to need me.
