I have always had a desire for helping people especially the elderly. It's been a very rewarding career choice that I have always enjoyed doing. Knowing that I can help promote a person's well being towards maintaining their independence is rewarding to me. When I worked with a dementia client, helped to recall some of her memories through writing and reading exercises. My sister had many health problems in which; I encouraged her through daily functions similar to what she would do at home, helped with her transition from home to nursing home. Also, when I received my certification in nursing. I am a christian, loving, caring, devoted, reliable, efficient, responsible and love unity of family. My hobbies are reading, walking, meditate, pray, visit the sick and shut in, movies, love to volunteer my time helping those in need. I am a non smoker, do not drink alcohol, don't do any type of drugs. I have excellent references.
Hello With over 18 years of experience. I know how to personalize care for every client with diverse needs. I prefer home health care because it is more personable. The client is not just room 206. I get to learn their personalities and gain knowledge, or a new prospect on life. I really am passionate about my career.
I became a CAREGIVER because I have a natural instinct to help others. I feel that it's a "Calling". And I thoroughly enjoy working with the elderly, and hearing their stores. A personal achievement that I am proud of is being recognized with a Heart N Hands Award for my service to my elderly clients. I moved from California to Tennessee in 2003. After working in a Distribution Center for almost 2 years, I became a CAREGIVER and have been employed as such for over 10 years. I have an outgoing personality and get along well with others. I am also a woman of Faith. My hobbies are reading, crafting, live theater, etc. I have alot of experience as a Professional Caregiver and would love to help with your loved one!

I became a Caregiver thirteen years ago and I love making a difference in a person's life. I like being a caregiver and getting to know the clients and their families. I am proud of taking care of people and letting them know that they can depend on me. I use to work on a Oncology unit in a Hospital here in Marietta, Ga where I cared for a lot of chronically ill patients. I worked tirelessly making sure they were comfortable and not alone. The six years that I worked at this hospital gave me the experience and skills I needed to be able to care for individuals in their homes. I was born in West Virginia but was raised in Ohio. I moved to Austell Ga in 1986 and eventually moved to Powder Springs In 2011. To me there is nothing more fulfilling than being a caregiver because I am able to give of myself and give the best care that I can.
After giving up my medical secretary career years ago to raise our children, I found a great pleasure in companionship with seniors. Due to his job, my husband traveled a lot. My neighbor, an elderly man, lost his wife but wanted to stay in his own home. I began by playing cards, chatting, teaching him laundry skills, cleaning his house bi-monthly and found it not only was good for him but also beneficial to me. The ability to be a part of his happiness in his dy to day life, felt great. I then was hired by Home Instead in Mason Ohio, working for them until my husband was transferred to Tennessee. Being a part time senior caregiver has been my life now for almost eight years. Have had background checks, TB tests yearly, fingerprinted, drug tested and trained in transfers. Last December became ill with pneumonia from flu, even though had flu shot in September. Have doctors appointment June 10 to be released to work again. We are empty nesters, with youngest in medical school. Fully believe our seniors still have a lot to offer society even tho their bodies are slowing down.
I retired in 2014. I loved my job and my patients, but the drive to and from Nashville became so time consuming on top of a 10 hour day. I volunteer at the hospital because I really enjoy helping patients and missed being in the medical field. I received an award at my job for being an outstanding caregiver. I really love caring for people.
