I have 4yrs experience as a caregiver.. I took up care job when my grandmother was sick and needed support, I took very good care of my grandma. And that was how I starting working as a caregiver which I feel it's a way of giving back to the society in a kindly manner. And I am about to finish my nurse aide training program at the advanced healthcare career institute of Dallas. I have worked with Denton state supported living and I am passionate about caring for others just like my own blood .
My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. So this is a passion I've had since I graduated in 1976 and still do the best in it. I have outstanding references upon request!
I was called in this field of work by God I love what I do and when I do it. I love embracing people with my smile and encouraging people that WE CAN DO IT. I graduated high school and I wanted to go to school for music but I loved taking care of people so I went for my CNA . I took care of my mom before her transition. My personal achievement is knowing that my resident is happy and the end of my work day.
My personality are empathy and compassion, desire to help patience reliable and flexible .Growing up in a family of medical professionals I surely thought that one day I would become a caregiver after high school I became a caregiver in a facility it gave me the opportunity to help those who couldn't help themselves this is what prompted me to further my education by attending CNA schools while am working on become a nurse light now.

I believe I have good instincts to provide safety, comfort, understanding and I have been professionally trained as a CNA/CHHA. I'm flexible when there are schedule changes. I will treat you with respect and dignity. Mindful of privacy. Conscientious of time management to complete duties. Considerate to know the way you prefer, to have things taken care of, in your daily care needs.
One day, I woke up and had a calling, then I began caring for Developmentally Disabled people. Later on, I met someone who suggested, to obtain a CNA certification, so I can help more people. I experience much gratitude, in helping people in all kinds of circumstances.
I find it interesting with the many opportunities, to enjoy meeting and caring for people, from all walks of life. I can utilize my abilities, skills, observations and responses to assure good quality care for families.
My personal achievement that I'm proud of is becoming a certified Massage Therapist and opening my own business.
I have a passion for people, in general, and for the elderly in particular, strive to help the elderly to lead as normal lives as possible and this enhances their independence.
I'm a very dependable person. I love to clean and to spend time with people. I have always taken care of my family now they are grown and I miss that feeling of being needed. I hope to fill that void with a caring care senior.
My parents were both very involved with volunteering. I learned early on the benefits and rewards of being caring, kind and helping others. My mom lived in her own home until she recently passed away at 98. We had various caregivers for her over the years, and while some were wonderful, there were many more that were not.
I treat people the way I would treat my own mother...with respect and dignity. I try to find what brings joy to whomever I'm caring for. Do they like to sing or be sung to, play cards, board games, go for a walk? I can help clean, make meals, get groceries, transport to and from Dr visits and hair appointments or just give a full time caregiver a break.
I helped my mom with bathing, grooming and dressing and am willing to learn how you do things.
I have a heart of gold when it comes to people who need a little extra help, especially the elderly. I'm reliable, patient, trustworthy and will always show up with a smile.
I hope to hear from you....Denise

1. What actually makes me a great caregiver is my willingness to serve and I believe it's my calling.
2. I became a caregiver because, I have great compassion for individuals in need of personal one on one care.
3. Their are several reasons why I like being a caregiver. The first reason is that I am able to be there for individuals that are in need of help. Another reason I enjoy being a caregiver is because, My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the cancer went into remission shortly afterwards, she was diagnosed with dementia. I eventually had to move her into my home and I realized how self fulfilling and rewarding it is to serve others with sincere humility. I feel that as a caregiver each individuals that I care for should receive the best of care, compassion, and the best quality of care that life has to offer.
4. My most greatest achievement is yet to come because, I'm looking to achieve more tomorrow than I have today. Life is a lifelong learning process and when you think that you have achieved your greatest achievement there is still room left for more improvement.
I've been caring for people all my life. I've always enjoyed taking care of others and I consider myself to be a very nurturing, caring and patient person. In the past I have taken care of family members and other loved ones. I love doing work that has potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like making someone smile and doing little things to make a person's day better and in doing that, that puts a smile on my face knowing that I have done a great job at something I love to do.

I am a great caregiver because I want my clients to know that I am there for them in any way I can help. I became a caregiver because it is a positive and rewarding job. I like being a caregiver because that means I am working as a health care professional doing what I love. I think it has been a personal achievement using my Associate of Science degree working as a caregiver, and I am proud of that. I really feel like I get to know the patients that I work for, and try to be creative when working on the job. I might try to play the guitar for a patient, read current events in the newspaper to a patient, or do the crossword puzzle. I am happy going for walks, like to watch movies, and enjoy reading magazines.
I have 20yrs experience in caregiver/companion. I started working as a caregiver after my father had a stroke and heart attack and i had no one to help me care for him. After my father passed away, i became committed to helping other family and it became my GOD GIFT to care for my clients with as much of love as it was my own family member. It give me great pleasure taking care of peoples. This is not just a job for me but a blessing!!!
