I am a trustworthy and dedicated certified nurses assistant looking for work as a caregiver. I am a nurturer by nature, and enjoy being able to care for people that need my help. I have ample experience caring for elderly patients with dementia and stroke, as well as in a nursing home, and have cared for a wide variety of needs. I work at my best when I feel like I am part of a team or family. And I like to ingagage In patient's daily life needs above and beyond.

I have been working privately on and off for a number of families starting at age 15. I have experience ranging from children with certain disabilities to sick adults. I had health problems that required some help when i was a young child. This is why i am happy and comfortable helping families in need.

I was 15 years old and just started my freshman year of high school when I was placed in a class called Intergenerational Studies. For 2 hours each day I was taken to the nursing home called Golden Years there in Elgin, Tx. I started off just getting residents from their rooms to come and do activities with me. But it wasn't long and I was working side by side with CNAs, RNs, and at one point the DON had me shadow her for 2 weeks. I just got really interested and a few years after graduation and having my son, I pursued a CNA certification and was assigned the hospice hall and the "lockdown unit" which was occupied by the more violent patients and those with conditions such as Alzheimer's and/or parkinson's, as well as those with behavioral health conditions. I honestly just fell in love with everything about caring for the elderly. Even the hard and very emotional side of the care I provide is something I wouldn't want to stop doing. I would love to get my CNA back but just haven't attempted to do so since my husband passed in 2011. Since my high school days I have worked with all ages of people, from a 2 year old little princess to a 98 year old gentleman I referred to as Fred Astaire due to them looking like twins. He loved it and would smile so big when I walked in every day; and every day he would say "Good morning Ms. Judy (Garland). You feel like dancing the day away?" It's things like that for which I love my work. Please feel free to ask anything, I would love to tell everything now but there is just so much I've been blessed to have experienced with so many different people I'd never be done.

I'm a very outgoing, energetic, athletic, fit person who is very compassionate and caring, someone who puts others before himself, a father of 5, 3 girls and 2 boys. I've been in the field over 10 years and have reliable references to support the fact. I enjoy being able to help others, with everyday tasks, getting back into the community, making home cooked meals, or just being there as someone to talk to. I've worked with seniors, developmentally disabled, dementia patients, and disabled veterans. I'm a well rounded individual with ambition, and experience in all aspects of the healthcare field. An added bonus is that I love to cook as well. My family and I moved from Denver to Florida just to experience life and it's been one of the best life choices I could have ever made. We've been here almost two years now, and look forward to connecting with families and making new friends.

My most rewarding achievement has been loving and raising my children. I was blessed to be able to work in our home supporting my family and community while my kids were young. I am a great caregiver because I am very caring and understanding, I have a passion for helping those who can not help themselves. I was initially attracted to being a caregiver because one of my closest friends is a disabled veteran with diabetes and I had the opportunity to step in and help him when he got sick. I was fortunate enough to be able to help him by getting him to his appointments and being there for him emotionally when he needed it. By helping him cook and clean and being his companion gave me a real sense of joy and showed me to my calling. What I enjoy most about is being able to help people who cannot help themselves, is the sense of accomplishment and joy that come from helping others, it is something I've never been able to find anywhere else. My greatest personal achievement is being able to help my patient after her surgery to gain the highest level of independence that she could gain.

Hello! My name is Bella and I am excited to be a caregiver because I love helping those around me. Being the second oldest of five children, I would say that some of my biggest personality traits would be that I am incredibly caring and great at socializing. One of the biggest reasons for why I wanted to become a caregiver is because I am a nursing student and wanted to obtain more experience in the caregiving field while also getting to know some great patients. With that being said, I will work extremely hard for you and your loved ones because I have always given all of my effort into anything I do. In fact, I graduated in the top 10 of my high school class and currently have all A's at my University, despite the difficult workload.
