I've been an LVN for about 3 years now but caring for and about others has been a lifetime goal. I'm a true believer of the Golden Rule: treat others the way you want to be treated. Caring for others, especially in times of vulnerability and great need, is my greatest passion. As a caregiver, I hope to gain valuable experience that will make me a better nurse as I pursue my second Bachelors degree.
My compassion for the well being of others makes me a great care giver. My wife sparked my drive to become active in the medical field in which, i am an licensed EMT and LVN. I have also served in the USMC as a combat photographer, have 3 school age children and wife who is eagerly finishing up school for LVN. I work weekends at a nursing home PRN and just loss my client of 6 months 24 hour live in care. Monday-Thursday, Meal Prep, Transportation, Bathing, assistance with dressing, ambulation and ADL's.
I am able to provide quality care to those in need. I love helping people, I am attentive to patient needs and have great patience. Perform various personal care and incidental activities through supportive professional services to meet the needs of patients in accomplishing activities of daily living.Demonstrate a caring attitude towards all assigned clients and their families, and support patient rights and confidentiality.Able to lift, re-position, transfer patients/clients, and carry bundles such as groceries and laundry up and down stairs and lift with and without assistance. Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and reach freely. Incumbent must assist clients with standing and walking. Possess the ability to grasp with thumb in opposition. Ability to travel from patient to patient as needed. Physical demands include frequent lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 pounds. Hearing must be corrected into the normal range and vision must be corrected into the normal range.
