I am very companionate and my greatest wish is to lift up someone who really needs help. I have grand parents who are growing old and providing assistance has always been my joy and I worked in an organization for persons with disabilities, that is one of the best time because I was able to provide assistance and was a voice to the voiceless. It is my passion to do same wherever I am . Put a smile on someone's face and make them see hope, I can say I have been able to do that because most of my client are uplifted.
I have experienced through time how to take care client and have an urge to help others i always have placed a priority on helping other people. Be patient, empathy and compassion the desire to want to help, i would like to let the person i caring for to know that i care about the person and want to do what i can to help them . i am trustworthy, reliable and dependable. I have the ability to learn new tasks quickly i have proven strong work ethic and a cooperative attitude accomplishing tasks meticulously and with a higher attention to details and self motivated.
I have studied Homeopathic Medicine for five years and obtained certification in Acupuncture (one year study). I also have Personal Care assistant certification with 18 years of experience in pain management and five years of experience in taking care of Alzheimer's, Dementia, Diabetes ll, and Stroke clients. Changing, showering, grooming, feeding and know very well signs and health Symptoms. I am a highly motivated individual who observes punctuality and work towards achieving my goals in time. I put in all my efforts and work very passionately towards my clients with love and care.
Some people ask me, "why are you a caregiver?" I smile and simply respond, "I care to care." Caring for others has not only created an occupation for me, but also a way of life. Waking up in the morning and knowing that I am on my way to make someone feel better, either by assisting with daily living activities, by listening, or by telling jokes that make a client smile, makes me feel a great sense of accomplishment and joy. I have been a caregiver for over six years and have never had a dull day since I began. Each day provides me with an opportunity to make a positive impact on someone, and I cannot think of anything more rewarding. I am an empathetic, forthright, punctual, honest, and patient individual who maintains professionalism at all times. I believe that these fundamental characteristics put me on level ground with the clients I have cared for throughout the years, and with their families and loved ones. Since childhood I have wanted to make a difference in people's lives, and being a caregiver I can make an impact that goes above and beyond that goal.
Care giving is a selfless responsibility for every person giving care to clients and vulnerable people. I always believe that empathy is one of the most significant quality anyone can acquire to be a good caregiver. Before this time, I have worked with different forms of people with different cultures, and most of this people are vulnerable people that needs the attention of people who will show them love care and support them for their basic needs. For that reason, I have been a wonderful and loving caregiver who seeks the interest and comfort of my clients to make them happy and improves their dignity of life. I have special love for vulnerable and hopeless people, and would always wanted to improve the lives of my clients to make them feel like somebody cares despite what they are going through. Improving client lives and happiness is my priority to achieve my goal as a caregiver. I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I became a caregiver since the year 2000 after I graduated from Classic Nurses Academy and took my board Certified Nurses Assistant (CNA) licensure examination . Naturally, I'm compassionate , trustworthy, reliable, punctual on assignments , dedicated and above all very patience, I also love to make a difference in the life of others and put smiles on their faces, with that aspect of motivation in mind , I also helps the elderly at the volunteer food distribution in my community with whatever problems and needs that they may have. WORKING EXPERIENCE : I started working for Maxim Healthcare in January 2000. Through that, I connected with one of my clients who had Parkinson's disease. I worked with this client for a while until his children decided to hire me as a private caregiver and moved me with the client from Virginia to Colorado, because the children wanted their father to be closer to them. I took care of this client until he passed away. I returned back to Virginia after his death and started another work with Care Options in 2002. I have dealt with many clients with different needs and disabilities for the past eighteen years .
