As a caregiver I would seek to give your friend or loved one the best care in my ability, help them out with the daily tasks needed, and provide loving companionship to bring as much joy to their day as I can. I enjoy keeping those in need comfortable by helping with even the most private and personal need while still letting them have their have independent and an opinion when possible. Making sure they don't lose confidence or privacy is a top priority but also making sure all need are met and every issure cared for. I pay attention to needs. I do not let an area get too messy. I am attentive. I personally enjoy shopping, cooking, meal service, baking and giving companionship. I can do medicine prep in pill finder boxes. I would prefer a client who takes their medicines at a set time. I like the personal assistant side of helping an individual. I am a patient person but would prefer a client with all their mental faculties. It is important that they stay mentally active, and even physically active, if possible. I would be willing to do activities with an individual to help bolster physical and mental stimuli.

I have been a medication technician (CMT) for four years, I administer medications per facility, state and federal law/guidelines by practicing inside my scope. I am also insulin & CPR certified by the state of Missouri and American Heart association. I am comfortable with administering insulin medication, subQ and orally. I am a nursing candidate at Mineral Area College, I have had ECG training along with the knowledge of A&P, Microbiology, Medical Terminology I & II, so I have a good grasp and understanding on how the medications and insulin works and what signs & symptoms to watch for. I am a very caring and outgoing person. I love being a caregiver because I love helping people.
