Having worked in various health care professions, I find it a passion of mine to work with our elderly senior populations. I have both professional and personal experience working with loved ones who may be suffering from Diabetes, requiring assistance with meal preparations, running errands, and providing positive companionship with someone who suffers from Dementia & Alzheimer's Disease. Being the oldest, and only girl of 4, I Inherited the role of caregiver at a very young age. I started as a babysitter and later in life gravitated towards adult care. I have remained a caregiver because I enjoy meeting people from different parts of the world and hearing their lives experiences, their knowledge, and the wisdom they often share. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than going home at the end of my workday knowing that my presence made a difference in someone else's day and that I am appreciated.

I become a caregiver when i started working as part time and i realized, how big impact my rules for the elderly who's in need of our care. I like what i am doing since then and Im so proud of what I accomplished each time I finished my shift. I didn't realize , someone like me can be useful and Helpful and that makes me happy to go home knowing that i did something good to my clients and their family. I may not everything they need but I am very caring, confident of what Im doing , compassionate and trust worthy with dignity, caring loving and have a great sense of humor to make my client smile in my presence. Caregiver Experience: In the past 6 years I've been both a live-in and live-out caregiver/companion/personal assistant for multiple clients (I've assisted with daily living activities, companionship, meals, transportation and medications). a) I helped a friend take care of her mother for 3 months who was under Hospice. I monitored her insulin shots and medications. b) I was a part of three end-of-life transitions working with both hospice in addition to team of caregivers to provide 24/7 care. c) I assisted my sister in her recovery after a kidney transplant. d) I helped both my mother and a friend with their rehabilitation exercises and recoveries after having had strokes. - Special Interest/Skill: Listening and Coaching by asking questions - which often assists people in discovering their own answers and in having interesting and meaningful conversations (with all types of people). - Background: 20+ years as an application programmer. - Other: If you're aware of the Myers-Briggs type indicator (MBTI); I'm an INFP (Introvert - Intuition - Feeling - Perception).
