I'm a new member of the Wichita community. My husband and I moved here from the Manhattan area where I worked as a para educator for 9 years. Needing a change, I worked toward my CNA,CMA, and HHA certifications. I have worked in Memory Care, Assisted Living, and Home Care and Hospice all of which I loved. I have an early work experience as an EMT,(no longer lisenced), and years in phlebotomy. I've also worked as a CNA in a surgical center in various areas of the building. I spent 1 1/2 years after we moved here, recovering from shoulder surgery and working in a preschool center while getting situated in our new to us house. We have two daughters, one is married with a 4 yr old and 8 month old and the other is a Jr in college at Bethel. I grew up a farm girl, spent valuable time with my grandparents, and have been involved in many activities myself and with our kids. My family has always come first and I have always worked jobs that would allow me to live and be in their moments as they were and are happening! We are total hands on grandparents to our grandchildren when needed and possible. I love flea markets, refurbishing furniture, I have my own picture painting site, yard sales, shopping, and being in our yard. My heart and soul are extremely down to earth and when I enter a clients home, they are what matters while I am there. Their comfort and happiness with my work, long after I leave, is important to me until I see them again.

Hi I am Heather. I have been doing some sort of caregiving since I was 16 years old. I love to take care of and help people. I adapt easily to new situations. I am also going to school to become a skilled care giving nurse. I am most proud of getting my medical Assistant certification. What I enjoy most is learning about new people and places.

I believe I'm a great caregiver because I care from the heart not the pay. The first thing that attracted me to being a caregiver was the fact that I just fell in love with the at home setting of caregiver. Growing up I always heard about people who have put the family away in a "home" when they reach their senior years, but my first interview , it was the total opposite.I worked in a house that had 6 residents, and it was theor home, they were like all room mates in a sense and I had never seen anything like it up until that day. And from then on I wanted to be a part of everything that goes along with caregiving.

What I believe makes me a good caregiver is that I love taking care of people and I have a big heart. What made me want to be a caregiver is when I was in high school ,I would volunteer at retirement homes and I would notice how some patients were not getting the care that they deserve. so knowing that I can help someone out in life makes me fill like Im some way helping contribute to some good in the world ..

Hi, my name is Samantha. I am a single mother of a beautiful 5 year old little girl. Most of my time is devoted to spending time with her. I am a very compassionate, hard working, trustworthy person. I really enjoy helping and caring for others especially people who are unable to do so themselves. I have been a Nursing assistant for 7 years.

Just a little ablut myself I have two kids one girl Delilah and one boy Luka. Both of my parents have disabilities and both of my brothers and that where I got the idea of helping other people! Sometimes I'm able to help my mom and dad with house work and shopping and do other things she needs help with. I enjoy helping other people and for them to know it's no enconvience at all! I look forward to helping where I can and when I can!

Hello, my name is Sarah Grunwald, and I've been a CNA since 2011. I've worked in both settings as a CNA at an assisted living facility and clients homes. My personality traits as a caregiver are super friendly, I try to get to know and understand a client and their families to provide the best care for a client to keep both family and client at ease. Being a caregiver is something just indented into my DNA. My goal is to give the best care I can give, while maintaining a client's independence so that they may stay in their homes as long as they possibly can. I enjoy caregiving it gives me a sense of accomplishment seeing that clients families are at ease knowing their loved one is being taken care of with the best care given possible.

Hello! I'm Courtney, I'm 28 years old and the last three years I have been taking care of individual patient for 3 years. I am currently going for my CNA certification and on to become a LPN. Nursing is what I was studying in California but arrived in Kansas and had a family of my own. I love being able to help people, and it's easy for me to get along and enjoy someone's company.

I am a 52 year old with 3 daughter's. I have been a RN for years working in Wichita KS. My husband and I spend our summers at the lake during school break. I am not wanting to be tied down to working in a hospital during the summer, but would like to help else where if possible. Caregiving is all I have done during my career. I am not available till May 21st and go back to work Aug. 15th. Not wanting to function as an RN this summer.

To give back and because I love helping people. I love taking care of elderly people and being around them. Getting my CNA license. I'm 26 years old. I like reading books, listening to music and fishing .
