I became a caregiver because I love to serve others. One of my favorite jobs that I have had was working in memory care, it was also one of my hardest. Although the residents didn't remember me always, I still loved and respected each of them. I have found that it doesn't matter what state of mind a person is in, they can still tell if the person who is taking care of them actually cares and respects them, and I was privileged to be able to help them feel that way. One resident taught me how to speak a few phrases in Finnish, I will forever treasure those memories. Being a caregiver and serving others brings me joy in my life, even on the hard days. I was just certified with my Certified Nursing Assistant Acute Care.
