The personal fulfillment that comes from being a caregiver is what motivates me to go beyond the expectations of caregiving. Instead of just assisting someone with their daily living activities to check off a box, I believe in taking the time to communicate with the person I am assisting, and understanding what I can do to help them feel their best. From my caregiving experience I learned how to curl hair for a resident that wanted to look nice each day and I was taught how to sew by helping a resident make a quilt for her granddaughter. The lessons I learned as a caregiver have taught me to be a loving and caring hard worker.
