I became a care giver and registered CNA after watching the poor care my great grandmother was receiving in the Nursing home. I choose to go to school and learn the appropriate ways to handle eldery patients and also those with Dementia. I love helping those in need and feel it is our duty to help take care of those who have worked hard to make a way for the younger generations. I love seeing the smile on my patients and residents faces when you take the time to listen to them tell you their most prized stories and become apart of their reality. I am most proud of becoming state certified within 3 months of my great grandmother's diagnose and being able to take care of her and prolong her move to a long term nursing facility for 16 months. I am 31 years old and I pride myself on my hard working ability and my desire to never give up. I am very compassionate about helping those who are in need and I try to show my kids examples of this every day by giving back to not only my own community but others that are in need as well.
