I have always loved working with the geriatric population. I believe that they are so full of history. I am a avid believer in being punctual. I am very attentive to my patient needs at all times. My patient well being means a lot to me. I love talking and communicating with my patients. I love making my patient feel comfortable and safe and well taken care of. The reason behind me becoming a certified nursing assistant and finishing up to become a nurse. I was once a patient in need. It was one nurse who touched my heart to make me want to care for people as well. I was having a baby and I was in so much pain. It was a nurse who was about to go off duty but she stayed and massaged by leg till the pain subsided and the medication took affect. I was so appreciative with thanks and blessings that it touched me to want to do the same. And till this day I am touching hearts like never before giving them the same compassion I received. I also worked on a skin protocol to prevent ulcers in patients at Marionjoy Hospital.
