Hi, I am Arlene Molligan, I am 56 years old and interested in working for you as a Caregiver. I am single in good health and health conscious also non smoker . I am mostly mix with Spanish and Chinese and I am fluent in English Language . I reside in ,llinois. I have been a Caregiver for the past eight years. I have taken care of at least ten elderly persons during that period. I have cared for persons with dementia, alzheimers, parkinsons disease, muscular degeneration, diabetes, Als, m.s. cancer, heart conditions and stroke. Also for persons needing assistance after surgery and those physically challenged. Being a caregiver is something I enjoy doing. I have gained a wide variety of experience over the years in dealing with various special needs which has prepared me to be able to manage most of the situations I encounter. Apart from this I take personal interest in each individual person in my care, doing all that is necessary to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. I have done meal preparation, housekeeping, bathing/ dressing and grooming, toileting, transfers, mobility assistance, medication management and administering, and other additional services as required. I will describe myself as being caring and easy to get along with.. I have learned patience in caring for others. I am hardworking and dependable, trustworthy and has a good sense of humor. I am very passionate when it comes to taking care of others. Ever since I was a teenager, I knew in my heart that helping those in need was my calling. I started nursing school in college and then went straight to work at hospitals, nursing homes, and at the comfort of people's homes. I am an advocate for the Alzheimer's Association, and volunteer as a caregiver support group facilitator. I have two children who are growing too fast, and a mother who is a cancer survivor who I took care of. Also, I am a lover of animals and have no problems taking care of them as well.
