What makes me a great caregiver is that i listen attentively, treat others with nothing but warmth & kindness & i dont take this as being a job but i consider it as caring for one of my loved ones. I first wanted to be a caregiver when my grandmother was diagnosed with alzheimers & i had to care for her because my family couldn't afford it at the time. Afterschool i would care for her cause no one else could. When she died that made me want to help others & be there for them in the time of need. I love being a caregiver because the elderly are so loving, caring & the most honest people ill ever meet. Im glad im able to make them smile & happy even though they may have alot goin on. Im proud and grateful that im able to help others who cant do so themselves. It lets me know im doing great & nothing can stop that.
