One reason why I became a caregiver is because my mom got sick during my senior yr. in high school. I never took classes but, I have been taking care of my mom for like 10 yr.s. I would think that having this experience with my mom that I have some knowledge of house to take care of a person who is disabled like my mom. She is legally blind and she lost a lot of strength to move by herself. The diabetes is what caused her to lose her eyesight. Everything started going south when the doctors couldn't control her sugars. She suffered through cancer thank the lord that she is in remission from that. But wi th everything else she has, she is now stable enough that I can start going to school and get my associates in Radiography. ... more
