About Brianne

Hi there! My name is Brianne, you can call me Bri. I am a compassionate, dedicated nursing assistant/caregiver seeking a role where I can use my empathy and passion for helping others to provide excellent patient-focused care, to ensure client satisfaction, and make a difference in another's life. I have a few years of experience as a nursing assistant/caregiver working in both in-clinic and in-home settings, providing attentive, detail-oriented care to individuals of different ages, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. Recently I was my grandfather's bedside primary caregiver/bedside nurse while he was on hospice in the comfort of his own home for months. I have a strong background working one on one with individuals that experience difficulty with communication, learning skills, mobility, as well as have poor memory, issues with coordination/balance, and have trouble controlling mood and behaviors. I have a wonderful ability to build trusting, therapeutic relationships with all clients as well as their families, with a primary focus to make them as comfortable as possible. I obtained a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) in 2020, making me very knowledgeable with medical terminology, medication administration, assisting with all ADLs, mental health, geriatrics, client dignity, client needs, etc. I am skilled in maintaining and managing schedules, housekeeping tasks, client safety, and the physical and emotional needs of clients. A very committed female that loves to use her friendly, bubbly personality while providing the best quality of care possible, prioritizing both the client's emotional and physical well-being. :)

I was a Librarian back in the Philippines but when I came to the US in 2006, my friend encouraged me to try working with the elderly as a caregiver. Since then, I have been working as a caregiver and I developed the love and passion in taking care of the elderly. I have experience in taking care.of elderly with different health issues such as Alzheimers, Dementia, diabetis, heart diseases (ie. CHF), Lung or respiratory disease, stroke, cancer, hospice, etc. I assist my residents with their activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, walking, exercising, etc.. I also do meal preparation , laundry, light housekeeping and medication reminder. I can also assist my Residents with their errands and bring them to their doctor's appointments. I am not only a caregiver to to my Residents but I am also a companion, a friend, a confidant whom they could trust and depend on. I am a responsible person,, loyal and reliable. I stay with my Residents until they terminate my employment. I am proud of being a caregiver because I know I make a difference in the lives of my Residents and I am grateful that most of my Residents that I have taken cared of, including their families, trusted me to be part of the last journey of their lives. My nationality is Filipino and we are known to be the best in caregiving, especially to the elderly.

I started my journey as a home care aide, with experience I worked my way into a nurse delegated CNA position. I love every minute of it. I enjoy building a relationship with the people I work with, my main priority is to provide quality compassionate care. I think what makes me a great caregiver is my attentiveness to my clients, I listen to my clients, I'm there for my clients, my clients needs and changes are my concern. When it comes to the health and well being of my clients, I want to make sure that they are doing well, emotionally and physically. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? I enjoy the interaction, i get to be in the presence of so many wonderful people who have stories to tell. It might sound cliche but I genuinely love knowing that i can help another person in this world, so that is exactly what i do. I'm proud to be continuing my nursing education at Loyola University in Chicago, granting me a BSN degree come May 20'.
