My first job in the medical field was during the summer of 1984 at a nursing home in Williamstown, Massachusetts and I have been doing various kinds of work in the medical field since then, because I love taking care of others and especially the elderly when others seem to give up on them. It's something I will always do as long as I can still do for myself, even if it's just a couple of days a week or PRN. I have learned to be very patient from childhood till now, know that what they say or do is not intentional and definitely treat them as those you love and care for in my own family. Knowing that I love helping others, I chose the elderly because they need us more. I enjoy listening to their stories and becoming someone they can trust to help them in time of need. Achievements I'm proud of is completing various courses in the medical field like HHA Certified, PCA training in a hospital for about 4yrs, CNA training in a nursing facility and graduating from college.
Currently working as a nurse technician at a major downtown Chicago hospital part-time. I would love to share my care companion and cleaning skills with those in need. I work with pediatrics all the way up until geriatrics. And that's not all! I will clean your home as if it is my own and treat your family member a if they were my own. I am an outgoing, always smiling individual that can follow requests thoroughly. I enjoy cleaning as a past time and decided to use the enjoyment to help me pay through nursing school. I am available early mornings to early afternoon, ball park hours of 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. Hours can be negotiable at this time. Your happiness and satisfaction will be my drive!
I received a CNA/Hematology Tech certificate in 1982. I worked as a CNA for 19 years. I enjoy helping my clients stay at home an continue an independent lifestyle. I listen closely and observe with a mind towards giving my clients what they want and not what I think they want. I enjoy making my clients feel comfortable with me by building a relationship with them. I learned how to adjust to the needs of my clients by inventing things if necessary for there comfort.

I am a 32 year old female without children. The reason I became a caregiver because I took care of the Mother until she pasted for 13 years. She was a bed bound stroke patient. I enjoy helping people with here needs and the hours fit within my schedule. I am compassion, caring, and I brighten up anyones day because I always have good energy. The reason I started private care is because I never like nursing home for the elderly. Some people think it's hard to take of a grown person, but all you need is patience, help, and communication. I have much respect for people who keep there loved ones at home. People build their lives at home, I think they should be there until that day comes to an end.
Im a very compassionate caring helpful individual who takes pride in caring for others. I love assisting others to meet their daily needs which allows them to maintain their dignity. I pride myself on getting to know the person I care for and building trusting environment. This key to a person's wellness...
I remember during freshman year in college seeing an advertisement for live-in caregiver. I needed a job and was living in a dorm not far away. I applied and from 1977 until now I have enjoyed the privilege of caring for those unable to care for themselves. What I enjoy most is the look of appreciation on their face. It helps me want to continue in this field and is why I am seeking to continue in it. It is very rewarding in that I am giving someone a reason to live, smile and keep going as if they are not unable to do for themselves. So far, I have met some of the most precious individuals who love me as if I am a part of their family. That, makes it all the more rewarding. I love the work so much I have managed to take a Certified Nurses Assistant course in 2008. I have been on the registry since. I am currently seeking another assignment as soon as possible because I want to give back what was freely given to me, the chance t make a difference in someones life, to help give the chance to live a healthier, longer life in the manner in which they are accustomed. I have raised my only child and he is now an adult. I live alone therefore if gives me the time to be off help to someone in need.I enjoy reading, puzzles and walks in the park or on the beach. I also enjoy listening to history unfold, as told by the client. What a joy!
