My name is Brittney Cage and I have been a caregiver for a company for four years now. When I was 12, my mom was diagnosed with Dementia and could no longer take care of my siblings and I so that left us to care for her but mostly me. I really enjoyed doing it so it sparked my interest in becoming a caregiver and hopefully a CNA one day. I like to make the best of each day and always am positive which I feel makes me a great caregiver. My clients are always my top priority and I always feel so good going home each day knowing that I was able to help someone in need. What I love most about being a caregiver is the one-on-one interaction with others and I like older adults and feel that I get along well with a variety of elders. I learn something new everyday just from working with elders. I am also the caregiver that don't mind going the extra mile. There's days where I stay late after my shifts because someone need extra help or in fact I'll come in on my off days because I know there's people who need me and count on us caregivers to be there. I take pride in what I do!!!
