For me, caring for clients, especially the elderly brings me joy. I've been in the health care field since 2012. I have a bachelors in medical sciences & presently obtaining my masters in health administration. I've worked as a caregiver for a year. For me, It's not much about the money, but about the joy I get from caring for the elderly. It's my dream to manage nursing homes & hospices and I believe that my experience as a care giver will help me better understand the true feelings and needs of these population of people. I see my clients as family and I care for them like family.
What makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I have a big heart. I am willing to help others and care for them. Not only am I doing my job, but I create a bond with my clients, it is more than just a job. Being there to comfort them and hands-on when needed. What attracted me to being a caregiver is growing up I watched my grandfather need the help. I enjoyed being there for him to the point where he felt comfortable enough to be in the state he was in. The most exciting part of being a caregiver is creating that bond with my clients to the point where they want me to come back. It is not always about being there for just the job and them needing help , I like being open to them and more like a friend then an employee. I am proud of helping others. I know that with my ability to be there for others good things will come upon me.
I became a caregiver to help others, it's always given me pleasure knowing I was able to make someone else's life a little better. I like being a caregiver because it allows me to give back what has been in me. The thing I'm mostly proud of is how much I've accomplished throughout my life. I'm 37 years of age and I've been a CNA for about 13 years now. I'm a very family-oriented, compassionate person who cares about the level of care I provide to others. I'm very dedicated to those I provide services for. I believe in the clients' right to choose his/her care along with treating the client and their loved ones with dignity and respect.
I am a passionate person. I come from a family that has spent many generations helping others. I am honest and trustworthy. I was a firefighter for 10 years, I worked in an emergency room setting for 14 years. I pride myself on treating others the way I would insist my parents be treated. I am a military wife, that knows the significance of service and punctuality. I have worked with patients with neurological to delivering babies. I love what I do.
The things that I feel that makes me a great caregiver is the fact that I am very passionate and understanding when it comes to to having someone you can trust with your loved one. I decided to be a caregiver because I had a baby sister who was very ill and it felt great to care for someone. I was glad in being able to take some pressure off my mom and being able to help make my sister more comfortable in anyway possible. When she passed I made a promise to get in the medical field to try to make a difference and really care about patients and their families do everything possible to ensure that they're well taken care of. I am proud that I was able to take courses and being in the top ranking of my class for medical assistant position. This allowed me to experience working in two different clinics at Trinity Hospital
I am a motivated Care Giver with two and one-half years of hands-on training and experience working with disabled and geriatric patients. I feel confident that my background, strong bedside manner and skill in providing high quality care makes me an ideal match for your open Care Giver position. I have worked with needy adults, providing all personal care such as feeding, bathing, and assisting with mobility. My focus on safety and nurturing nature allows me to help boost resident morale and help them maintain dignity in times of distress. I have worked with disabled adults at Assisting Hands and First Light of Libertyville and independently. I strongly feel that my background would serve me well in working with residents in need of care. In summary, I feel that I am a strong candidate for the job because I have the knowledge and experience that you are looking for. I would welcome the chance to speak with you more about my background. Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, David F Schleicher

I am a natural caregiver as the parent of a profoundly disabled, non-ambulatory, non-verbal child. I have experience doing all types of related tasks such as positioning, bathing, transfers, therapy assistance, g-tube feedings, pulmonary therapies, and schedule management. And I do so with a good attitude and plenty of patience. I can relate to the challenges that come with aging, disability, neurological conditions, and metabolic illness. I have an extensive knowledge of the human body as a martial artist and massage therapist. I am excited by specialized diets such as very low carb/ketogenic and have been practicing medicalized and blended diets for over 7 years. Within my personal life, I believe in all natural, spotlessly clean environments, and know that organization is key to keeping life running smoothly. I am punctual and reliable. I have always viewed life's challenges as opportunities for growth. Helping troubleshoot the issues that come with disabled life, hacks and assist others in recapturing a sense of normalcy is what makes me most happy.
