I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology from Webster University in 2001. Upon graduation I have worked with adults suffering from both mental/physical disabilities for 20 years. I was a case manager for a social work agency for most of those years. I have received extensive training in CPR, First Aid, Medication tech., as well as specialized training in mental health and neurological disorders such as Depression, Schizophrenia, and Dementia/ Alzheimer's disease. In addition, I completed a caregiving training course which provided further education and instruction in caregiving activities including assistance with grooming/hygiene care, transferring/mobility challenges, and toileting., and companionship. I did receive my caregiver certification upon my completion of this training course. I have worked in private home health care for approximately 4 years now, and am able to provide references upon request. I am passionate about my work, and often develop very positive snd strong relationships with both my clients and their families. I feel that I was born with natural caregiving ability, and have always felt very drawn to, and personally fulfilled by, this type of work.
