I enjoy bringing smiles to peoples faces and making someone feel safe when around me. Been told many times by many different people of how great of a personality i have and i believe that my purpose in this would is to spread spread positivity and joy around anyone that i meet. Being a care giver is not only a job but also a lifestyle because i love caring for any and everyone in need even when there is no paycheck involved. My personal achievement is how i was able to make my grandmother smile and made her feel warm and peaceful by letting her know that everything was going to be okay in her death bed the day she died.
I am a caring and enthusiastic caregiver hoping to use my skills and experience to make your life easier and more efficient. With my drive to learn more about healthcare and the things I can better master to help the lives of others as well as my love for the medical field I know that I can be the perfect health care provider to families in need of both companionship and skilled nursing.
I bring a smile to my patients and the family . I think it's great you can help someone in need. Being able to help others is a wonderful feeling . I am a very friendly and outgoing person and when it comes to my job I am very dependable . I would be a great person to join your team.
Registered with the State of Illinois as a Direct Care Provider. I am patient, compassionate, dependable, good listener, observant and nurturing. I enjoy doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I like being able to make a person smile by doing little things to make a person's day better. When I'm older I would like someone like myself there to help me. I currently work with Developmentally Disabled Adults and most are not able to communicate if their feeling ill, but by being very observant and developing a one-on-one relationship with each individual resident I am able to detect when my residents are feeling ill or something is wrong.
I am a great caregiver because I always go above and beyond to make sure my clients are well taken care of. I am your eyes and ears, I am your personal helper. I started this line of work actually as a janitor of a elderly apartment complex. I enjoyed helping the seniors and making them smile. That's when I knew my calling was elderly care. I've been helping families for over 10years with home care. I am very understanding and flexible. I have references if needed.
I became a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of those who can no longer do for themselves. I also became a caregiver because I thought that it would be the perfect stepping stone for nursing. I love being a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of people and helping others. I also enjoy how personal the work is, one can really get to know the patient and family. I am proud of everything I have accomplished in my profession however the one thing that means the most is not even 6 months into my career I was given the position of team leader, this means all new teams members were orientated by me and my professional opinion was valued during evaluations. Personally I am a very outgoing person who loves to be involved. I am a very hard working and reliable person and love working on my own, which is why I believe home health would be the perfect position for me. I understand that regardless of age and needs the transition of having a caregiver is difficult for family members, therefore my job is not only for the patient but for family members as well. I hope that you will allow me to be apart of your life transition as I am excited for you to be apart of mine.
I remember during freshman year in college seeing an advertisement for live-in caregiver. I needed a job and was living in a dorm not far away. I applied and from 1977 until now I have enjoyed the privilege of caring for those unable to care for themselves. What I enjoy most is the look of appreciation on their face. It helps me want to continue in this field and is why I am seeking to continue in it. It is very rewarding in that I am giving someone a reason to live, smile and keep going as if they are not unable to do for themselves. So far, I have met some of the most precious individuals who love me as if I am a part of their family. That, makes it all the more rewarding. I love the work so much I have managed to take a Certified Nurses Assistant course in 2008. I have been on the registry since. I am currently seeking another assignment as soon as possible because I want to give back what was freely given to me, the chance t make a difference in someones life, to help give the chance to live a healthier, longer life in the manner in which they are accustomed. I have raised my only child and he is now an adult. I live alone therefore if gives me the time to be off help to someone in need.I enjoy reading, puzzles and walks in the park or on the beach. I also enjoy listening to history unfold, as told by the client. What a joy!
I obtained my nursing aide certification through a special job caring for children who were on life support systems, with severe limitations, and short life expectancy. One of my first encounters during the interview process was with a young girl with fetal alcohol poisoning, which left her without pupils and undeveloped vocals. I was allowed to hold her and when she wrapped her arms around my neck and let out this infectious giggle. I knew I wanted to work there. I also worked as a nanny, hospice caretaker, a Doula, and paraplegic caretaker. My certifications include: Nursing Assistant(5yrs), Personal Assistant, Monitoring Tech., EKG Tech., Phlebotomy(1 yr), Dialysis Tech(12 yrs),EMT(Ambulance)(8yrs). I'm now a full time Graphic Arts student, fulfilling a lifelong dream of having a degree. My hobbies include writing, drawing, designing, sculpting, landscaping, and interior design. I currently drive a medical equipped van to transport people with limited mobility. In 2009 my own son was on life support and is living on his own, as of 9/15/2014. He and his brother make me very proud. I am a true believer in treating people the way I want to be treated. Not proud of having so many jobs, I will explain.
I help older and wise people while learning at the same time, those who can not help themselves to a certain point in their life, and I help the elderly to make sure they don't lose hope allowing them to know they have someone who cares. I am caring and loving. I've been doing this job for 25 years because I didn't like how my parents were left in the nursing home, I felt sad. I took care of my mom after losing my dad and I have also taken care of my uncle and aunt.
