This is because all of my experience is hands on, from the private care of my own grandmother to the private care of others and then that as a caregiver for Home Instead Senior Care. I am a chef by trade, but I have a passion for & love the elderly and mentally disabled. When you have a natural passion for something you excel at it. This is what makes me a wonderful caregiver. I'm always willing to put in any extra time needed to learn new things. I love spending time with the elderly & mentally disabled, & I treat them as I would my own family. I understand that it is not always easy to have someone come into your home to help you do things you've been used to doing on your own. I have been doing home health care with my mom for Alzheimer's and dementia patients since I was 13 years old. I love helping people and helping them feel more comfortable. And still feel like they have their independence.

I grew up with a huge family, my mother was a Foster care provider, my dad was a Chief Fireman, I am the youngest of 8children, I grew up watching my mom take care of handicapped children my entire life, I always loved seeing how happy it made her to be able to help someone, even if it were just by giving that child love, I've grown to follow her footsteps and I just love being able to help someone if I can, even if can't make them better health wise, I can help them feel better emotionally, everyone deserves the BEST CARE POSSIBLE, that's why I love doing this job!
