I started my journey as a home care aide, with experience I worked my way into a nurse delegated CNA position. I love every minute of it. I enjoy building a relationship with the people I work with, my main priority is to provide quality compassionate care. I think what makes me a great caregiver is my attentiveness to my clients, I listen to my clients, I'm there for my clients, my clients needs and changes are my concern. When it comes to the health and well being of my clients, I want to make sure that they are doing well, emotionally and physically. What do I enjoy most about being a caregiver? I enjoy the interaction, i get to be in the presence of so many wonderful people who have stories to tell. It might sound cliche but I genuinely love knowing that i can help another person in this world, so that is exactly what i do. I'm proud to be continuing my nursing education spring of 19' at Loyola University in Chicago, granting me a BSN degree. Will be relocating end of November 2018, Olympia, WA to Oak Park, IL

I am a natural caregiver as the parent of a profoundly disabled, non-ambulatory, non-verbal child. I have experience doing all types of related tasks such as positioning, bathing, transfers, therapy assistance, g-tube feedings, pulmonary therapies, and schedule management. And I do so with a good attitude and plenty of patience. I can relate to the challenges that come with aging, disability, neurological conditions, and metabolic illness. I have an extensive knowledge of the human body as a martial artist and massage therapist. I am excited by specialized diets such as very low carb/ketogenic and have been practicing medicalized and blended diets for over 7 years. Within my personal life, I believe in all natural, spotlessly clean environments, and know that organization is key to keeping life running smoothly. I am punctual and reliable. I have always viewed life's challenges as opportunities for growth. Helping troubleshoot the issues that come with disabled life, hacks and assist others in recapturing a sense of normalcy is what makes me most happy.

Hi My name is Emica Dumesle-Henry. When I first started home care, I was taking care of my mom. I am caring by nature. I know how important it is to find good help to take care of loves ones. I have been in home health care for well over 6 year. My mom had a lot of health issues I had to deal with. She was blind, she had renal failure, she has asthma, she high blood pressure, and diabetes, she was required to have oxygen. I took good care of my mom until she died this year because her health got the best of her. I use to go to every doctors appointments with. Back in 2011 at one particular appointment the case workers ask did I have any one coming out to help her, ie home care provider, I said no I do every thing. She then gave me a card and told me I can get paid for the things I was already doing, the rest is history. During the time I did home care for my mom, I received a lot of training and certificate form DHS DORS, Bed making, problem solving, working with depress clients, and many more related certificates. What I enjoy the most by doing home health care is seeing the joy you bring to people who really needs your help. My most proud accomplishment was when I use to hear my mom tell everyone she knew how I take good care of her. That use to make me feel like I am doing something right.
I decided to become a caregiver after working in a nursing home for some time and seeing the growing number of seniors that needs and deserves our care and are not getting it or not getting enough care that they deserve. I enjoy providing care to people knowing that i might need one day, i have always given my best to my clients to assure that they get the care they deserve, so if you have me as your caregiver be rest assured that your loved one is in the best possible hands.
